Secondary science, Biology, chemistry and Physics KS3 and KS4. Specialism in Biology KS5.
Are you struggling to keep up with your Biology content? Do you find it hard to understand complex biological concepts and theories? Look no further! I am here to help you achieve your academic goals and excel in biology. I am a highly qualified and experienced secondary science teacher who has a passion for teaching and a deep understanding of biology. I am well-versed in all aspects of biology, from cellular and molecular biology to ecology and evolution, and can explain difficult concepts in a clear and concise manner. I have 5 years of teaching all three secondary science subjects in KS3 and KS4, as well as 4 years of Biology A-level. Whether you need help with homework assignments, exam preparation, or just want to deepen your understanding of biology, I can provide personalised, one-on-one guidance and support. I will work with you to identify your strengths and weaknesses, and tailor their approach to your individual learning style and pace. I can use a variety of teaching methods and resources, such as interactive simulations, videos, and diagrams, to make the learning experience engaging and enjoyable. I am also patient, friendly, and approachable, and will create a supportive and encouraging learning environment. Most of the lessons will follow this structure; 1. An Introduction, explaining the concept and its importance. 2. Inquiry-based activity: This could be a work sheet, mind map or data. 3. Experimentation: Should there be an experiment linked, we will explore its importance. 4. Data analysis: Once the experiments are completed, we will then analyse the data and make graphs or tables to show their results. We will have a discussion on the patterns and trends observed, and ask my student to explain the underlying biological mechanisms. 5. Concept mapping: To consolidate their understanding we will create a concept map or a mind map that summarises the main concepts and relationships involved in the process. 6. Closure: To wrap up the lesson, I will pose some open-ended questions to stimulate further reflection and inquiry. Then, finish with some exam style questions. By following these steps, I can create a student-centred, inquiry-based learning experience that combines hands-on experimentation, data analysis, and concept mapping with collaborative and reflective learning. This type of lesson can help the students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as a deeper understanding of the complex and fascinating world of biology.

GCSE/A-Level Maths & Physics by Imperial Engineering Student
3rd Year Electronic and Information Engineering student at Imperial College London. I have 3 years' experience tutoring Maths & Physics both in person and online and I am very familiar with GCSE & A-Level specification. My lessons aim to develop understanding of a topic from the ground up rather than just making students memorise lines in a textbook. This is achieved through frequent use of examples and analogies which students can visualise and relate to. On top of this I regularly provide exam practice and feedback so that students become more confident in applying their knowledge and are not intimidated by the pressure of exams. Please feel free to reach out if you have further questions and I hope to teach you soon!

Tutoring for Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Geography, RS, Physics, and English
I am a UCL Biological Sciences student seeking to offer a highly personalised tutoring experience that caters to my students' needs. I currently teach from Year 7 upwards with a speciality in exam preparation. I teach Geography, RS, Physics, and English from Years 7-11, and Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry from Years 7-13. I aim to understand my tutees' unique concerns and explain concepts simply with many alternative approaches. As someone who has experienced obstacles to my own learning, I have a lot of empathy for students struggling with their learning, particularly those with learning differences and endeavour to develop an approach that works for them. I was a strong student in secondary school (Queen’s College, London) achieving A*s and As (and equivalents) at GCSE and three As at A-Level in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Particularly of note, I received a 9 in GCSE Mathematics, 98% in GCSE Religious Studies, and was awarded a sixth-form academic scholarship. I am an experienced tutor - I participated in a tutoring scheme in secondary school which allowed students from Year 7 to Year 12 to ask any questions they might be struggling with in any subject they wished. This allowed me to continue to engage with my GCSE content during my A-Level years and taught me how to listen to and understand the particular needs of each student at a given moment. I also tutored family and friends of family, allowing me to engage personally with my students and develop a specialised teaching approach. I offer one hour and two hour sessions and am free on weekends, after 5pm, and whenever my university timetable permits. I am generally free at all times outside of university term time.
Private Maths and Physics lessons in French or English, French lessons
Recent graduate from a French engineering school, I am now a postgraduate student at Imperial College. I have always loved mathematics and I would like to share my love for the science with anyone who needs it. My goal is to make maths and physics simpler and funnier to study in order to help as many students as I can. I have already given mathematics classes in France and have developed a certain way of working. Usually, I first go over the lecture with the student, we read the principles and I take as much time is needed to answer any questions they might have. Then, we move on to exercises for the student to practice and apply what was learned in the lecture. The only key really in to go at your pace, there is no rush and the goal is for you to reach the understanding you desire.

I have also tutored several students in high school and in higher education during my years at Polytechnique. With these experiences, I will be able to adapt to your needs to pass on knowledge and methods to you with rigor and enthusiasm!
Private lessons in Mathematics and Physics by an Imperial College student
I'm Lucas, 21, currently a Mechanical Engineering student at Imperial College of London! I obtained a bac S (mathematics option) with first class honors in 2017 before entering preparatory class in Physics. I continued my training by integrating the Centrale Lyon school two years ago before joining Imperial this year. I had many high school and preparatory class students during my two years in Lyon. By basing myself on the methods and the fundamental principles of the courses I helped 4 pupils to obtain their bac with honors. One of my students even went from an 8 average in physics in her first semester before getting 19 on the day of the bac. I operate based on the methods of the different chapters. Too often ignored by teachers, not always understood by students, many exercises are based on the same methods. My goal is for the student to recognize the exercises and their structures which are very similar so that on the day of the test he can say: "This question looks like one that I have already done in exercise, I know how to treat it" I currently live near Hammersmith but I have the possibility of moving to West London. Do not hesitate to contact me
