About Me

I have always aspired to become a teacher ever since I was younger. The thought of studying and teaching has always been an interest of mine and working with kids will just complete it. Throughout the years, I have worked with various companies and foundations which focus on supporting further education for students who cannot afford it or even access it. I have also worked with foundations who specialize in working with children with special needs in order to help them feel comfortable and safe within their communities. With all the knowledge and experience I have learned from working with these foundations, I hope to apply them to my own work with children. I am patient and persistent and will never give up on a challenge that has been given to me. I love working with kids in general but students who demonstrate their passion, persistence, and dedication to what they set their minds to not only encourage myself but also push themselves to work harder in order improve within just a matter of lessons. I speak various languages such as Spanish and fluent in English and French.

Education

For the past 13 years, I have attended the International School of Geneva in the campuses of Campus des Nations and La Grande Boissière and will be taking a year off to explore new options and experiences new opportunities.

Experience / Qualifications

I have been playing the guitar for over 13 years and spent 9 years in classical classes. I have also performed in various school events as well as outside of school events to showcase songs that I have learned within the year.

I have been attending an International School ever since I was 5 and went through the International Baccalaureate Program which I then graduated from in the summer of 2018.

Nadine est adorable, très ponctuelle, ma fille a énormément apprécié ses explications et son contact chaleureux Je la recommande vivement!
This is a class for students who wish to improve their English or need help with their homework from school. I will work around the wants and needs of the students and plan lessons accordingly. I have attended an International School as well as studied English as a higher level in my years of the Diploma Program or also known as the International Baccalaureate.
This class is for students/adults who are interested in learning basic French. We will look at basic conjugation, vocabulary and techniques which will enable the individual to be confident in speaking French. If the student is currently learning French at school, I will be available to help with homework that they need to work on.
ONLY RESERVED FOR GENEVA! I have the passion for playing the guitar and would like to share that passion with children who are interested. I took guitar lessons for 9 years and have been playing guitar for 13 years. We will begin by learning the basics, then the chords and finally move on to songs that they wish to work on (told in advance). As I am a university student, I am only available during school breaks.

Jael
Tutoring for English and other subjects
German: Hello, my name is Jael, 23 and I look forward to helping people in their endeavors to learn to speak, write and read English. Of course, I also offer tutoring for other subjects and can also try to help out with other subjects on request. I spent over two years in the center of the UK - the West Midlands - as a youth and school social worker and teaching assistant. During this time I discovered my love for the English language and culture and for teaching in general and I hope to instill this love in others too. Learning a language should be fun and exciting. Difficulties you may have are easier to overcome together, and being able to speak the language together is very useful to become fluent and improve your pronunciation. In class, I focus on what suits you best and what you need - help with homework, exam preparation or training in spelling, grammar, speaking and more. Depending on your specialization or language level, we may choose to work through specific exercise books that can be purchased online, or we may work based on free resources or your own school supplies. I strive to individualize the teaching and methodology to best serve you and the teaching will always be a two-way relationship. I hope to get to know you soon and make progress together. English: Hi, my name is Jael (23) and I'm looking forward to helping people along in their efforts to learn to speak, write and read English. However, I also offer support and tuition with other subjects on request and will try to help out with homeworks, exams and more. Regular students will be able to discuss individual needs for tuition wth me and we can work on a plan together. About my experience: I have spent over two years in the United Kingdom - the West Midlands - as a youth and schools worker and as a teaching assistant. In this time I have discovered my love for the English language and culture and for teaching in general and I hope to awake this love in others as well. Learning a language should be fun and exciting and I hope to make it that way for you. Struggles you might have can be easier overcome together and it's very useful to speak together in the language you're trying to learn to become fluent and improve pronounciation. In lessons I follow what best suits you and what you need - help with homework, exam preparation or training in spelling, grammar, speaking and more. Depending on your focus or level we might decide to work through certain exercise books available to buy online or work based on free english resources or your own school material. I strive to individualize the lessons and methods to best help you and teaching will always be a two-way street. I hope to get to know you soon to discover the joys of speaking English.

World History- private lessons in analysis, essay writing and exam prep
I have deeply enjoyed history and historiography from high school, where I received top marks, through university, where we studied history from Australia, the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, to the present, where I still read and learn history on a regular basis. In recent years, I have particularly tried to focus on history retold from the perspective of those left out of the traditional view, which is really just anyone who isn't a white, upper-class, European male. This broader and more complex view of history leads to a more nuanced understanding of the past, particularly from a social perspective. I try to bring this knowledge to the classroom, to help the student understand history contextually and how it is shaped through an interplay of individual personalities and social, economic and political trends. I work to include as much primary evidence as possible and always encourage students to approach both primary and secondary sources critically, considering the bias and intention of the source. If I'm not familiar enough with the particular aspect of history the student is studying, I will do the necessary research to be able to help them competently. I really enjoy history and try to bring my enthusiasm, knowledge and experience to every class I teach.

Social Science for Class IX & X (CBSE)- anyone who is struggling to grasp the concepts, this class is for you.
Social Science is the building block of any student's learning career because it opens many avenues of experience. Having done bachelors in Social Science myself, I am more than eligible for taking this class. The class would not be very strict but would be a learning curve for those who want to pursue social sciences further. The class would be a give and take relationship, wherein both student and teacher contribute into getting a desired and optimum result. Thank you.

Support course, homework help or methodology
Currently a first year student of the International Master in Architecture at KU Leuven as well as a correspondence student in the second year of the Research Master in Philosophy, I propose to help your child with his homework (simple follow-up, methodological and editorial help etc.) and this at primary as well as secondary. I have been giving private lessons in France for 4 years and my university career has allowed me to acquire methodological skills in a large number of subjects: - Scientific Baccalaureate 2015 - Preparatory class for the grandes écoles (Letters / social sciences / mathematics) 2015 - 2017 / Under-eligible for the Normal Superior School - Double license (3rd year) Philosophy - Social Sciences (Paris I Sorbonne - Paris X Dauphine), mention Bien 2017 - 2018 - Bachelor of Architecture (2nd and 3rd year) National School of Architecture of Nantes, mention Bien 2018 - 2020 - Research Master in Philosophy by distance learning Paris IX Nanterre, 2019-2021 - International Master of Architecture KU Leuven, 2020-2022 I speak French (native), English (C1), Spanish (B2). My methodology evolves according to the needs and difficulties of the students. For fairly regular support, such as homework help, I usually set up a file writing system which allows students to structure their work and to be able to revise even after I have left. For more methodological advice I also adapt to the student. Thus, there may be joint writing or corrections of work done in class. On the other hand I am very available for my students, I respond quickly by email if necessary, I can also make corrections or revision documents from my home in order to complete the sessions with your child.
