I'm a British student living in the Netherlands and rediscovering the beauty of the English language! I am a Teaching English as a Foreign Language tutor and have been delivering lessons for school children, international students and professionals for the last two years.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:
