Tobias
Spanish Tutoring and History Tutoring for ages 12-18
I am offering tutoring in History and looking for tutees from Primary school to upper Secondary school students and also looking for tutees for Spanish at any age range. As bilingual British National who grew up in Madrid in an International British School: King's College Madrid, I have been speaking, listening and writing in Spanish from an early age. I have experience in being able to switch between languages effectively and I find it easy to engage in conversation in both Spanish and English. I have also had previous experience in teaching English to Spanish students for which I believe the skills are transferrable to teaching Spanish to English students. During the sessions, I would help with completing grammar exercises as well as work on conversational topics in order to provide a wider range of vocabulary to help with oral as well as written exams. I believe it is important to set exercises and tests during the sessions so I can figure out the main difficulties that the student has in writing in Spanish in order to tackle these problems and help the student. I am outgoing, patient and eager to help students build up their confidence in being able to comfortably speak a foreign language (Spanish) as well as build on their grammar and knowledge of Spanish culture. As well as this, I have recently graduated from The University of Kent where I obtained a 1st Class Honours in my degree. The degree covered a wide range of IGCSE and A level History topics including International History between World Wars as well as American, Russian, African, Indian and Spanish history during the 20th Century. With this, the sessions will consist of providing greater knowledge to the study of History, not only focusing on learning facts, but mainly the significance behind them in leading to other events and the analytical process comparing and contrasting certain viewpoints in order to provide two sides of an argument. My teaching style, therefore, involves following exam structures and working out the key features of writing history essays, as well as setting writing exercises to prepare for exams with the short time available to write said essays. I understand the difficulties that exist for GCSE and A-Level History students and I believe my experience will help to push students to understand the main points to work on when preparing for an essay or exam.

Private lessons of HISTORY all levels with 50% TAX DEDUCTION: courses, methodology, corrected tailor-made exercises, ...
With my lessons, History will hold no secrets for you, you will understand the challenges of the world and you will be able to shine in society as well as at school level! I am a young man graduated in law, with a scientific background and passionate about History, it is with pleasure that I share the knowledge of it, at all levels, that is to say from primary to high school, see more. The typical course is divided into several parts: - a part on the background: we will deal with the chosen theme, this one using media (photos, graphics, tables ...) to bring a playful side; we will linger as much as necessary on your difficulties, your incomprehension, because it is necessary to understand to learn! - a part on the form: if you are a student or a pupil, a simple knowledge of History is not enough, you must know how to restore it according to the requested methodology, I will give you all the cards in hand to fully understand an exercise, do not go off topic and move on! - training: increasing tests and exercises, ranging from multiple choice questions, short answers to essays will be produced by myself, corrected and explained in detail. - a summary: a practical sheet will be given with the essentials of the course to review the topic treated. This is a typical course, but it is possible to take a course only on some of the points. I recommend a course lasting 2 hours to have the time to properly deal with the theme, methodology, exercises, corrections; and also to allow the student to take light breaks if necessary. I don't travel for less than 1 hour. I can go to your home where you can take lessons by screen, it's up to you!

Jaye
European History- private lessons in analysis, essay writing and exam prep
I have deeply enjoyed European History high school, where I received top marks, through university to the present, where I still read and learn history on a regular basis. I am familiar not only with the impact of wider trends such as the printing press, reformation, industrialization and colonization across history but also with the specific histories (and personalities that make them) of the UK, France, Germany, Russia and Spain. Since learning the Annales approach to history I have been really keen about learning history from a wide variety of perspectives. In recent years, I have particularly tried to focus on history retold from the perspective of those left out of the traditional view, which is really just anyone who isn't a white, upper-class and male. This broader and more complex view of history leads to a more nuanced understanding of the past, particularly from a social perspective.

History (European and World) for all ages (iGCSE and IB help)
I specialize in tutoring History, specifically in regards to the IB and iGCSE. I can give in-depth aid with topics which include: - Nazi Germany - Germany under Weimar Republic - Russia (1850-2000) - Cold War (1943-1991) - Argentina under Peron - Cuba under Castro - China 1911 - 1989 - Rwandan genocide - the Kosovo war. My goal is to aid students in studying efficiently and actually enjoying it rather than feeling overwhelmed. I will provide information on how to prioritize their subjects and study for each without being put under pressure. Furthermore, I will give tips on essay writing skills to ensure they write an essay that will gain them as many marks as possible. When it comes to essay writing, the more simple your structure is, the easier it is to express your thoughts and therefore, gain the points required in the exams and/or assignments. I will give students learning goals and assign homework if I feel that it is needed however, I will not add to their workload for unnecessary reasons.
