I am Sathya - a passionate tutor, mother of two, and nouveau baking chef.
I have been tutoring students for over 5 years in Math, English, and Sciences thru web-based platforms.
I teach middle school and junior high students because I feel that these years are the beginning of formal education after the simple days of prep/ elementary school. The education in these years sets the foundation for principles taught in higher classes and it is crucial for children to start with a good foundation.

As a tutor, I have experienced that children have diverse levels of aptitude and each one also learns better through a different medium like seeing, hearing, or doing. I tailor my teaching to their individual needs using web-based interactive tools.
I try to make children understand how a certain subject, ties into the scheme of things in the world; which helps them overcome their ‘fear’ of it.
Being a mother myself, I have learned to be patient with children and always put them first.
Above all, I believe that parents and educators need to create a joyful and stimulating environment for children; enthusiasm and learning (in the child) will follow.
