It is with a high-level of interest that I submit my application for the position of Chemistry Teacher. My effective leadership and ability to connect with students make me the perfect candidate for the Chemistry Teacher position especially to the students who have difficulties in this subject.

Following national as well as institutional curricular standards, I have prepared and delivered lessons on various Chemistry topics including but not limited to Organic Chemistry (naming of organic compounds, reactions of various organic compounds, analytical organic chemistry, etc.), Atomic Chemistry (study of the atom, periodic table, stability of each element, etc.), Practical Chemical Separations (filtration, Buchner filtration, simple distillation, complex distillation, centrifugation, etc.), and Analytical Chemistry (preparation of various solutions, calculation of concentrations, stoichiometric calculus, etc.). In addition, I have taught hands-on Laboratory Chemistry. I have supervised laboratory work and schedules, led and monitoredbiological and chemical simple and complex experiments, instructed on the proper use of laboratory material and standard practices, danger and safety indications, production techniques and dumping methods.
With experience, I have developed excellent classroom management strategies. I state clear and direct expectations, I create a safe and exciting learning environment where everyone is encouraged to participate and learn, I build a positive relationship with my students, I redirect inappropriate behavior and always motivate my students to explore their potentials and be the best versions of themselves. I foster communication, creativity, teamwork, collaboration, speaking up in my classroom. Regardless of the grade level, I teach students to treat one another with respect, communicate effectively with their peers, and employ strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I have gained thorough experience in lesson planning, needs assessment, giving feedback, and use of visual and hands-on educational techniques as well as interactive technologies. Some of the examples of my commitment to teaching excellence include leading and supervising student participation in a science fair at a national level that resulted in winning the second place; preparing a very successful school wide Chemistry fair with active student contribution; conducting field trips for lesson demonstration and most recently quickly adopting the use of Zoom and Microsoft Teams to accommodate for distant learning in the COVID-19 era. I have been certified by the Lebanese government to participate in official exam grading for 4 years now and I am an active member of national teaching associations and organizations. I have been a member in an international school in Istanbul :” Rumeli International School” as a science and chemistry teacher for grade 5 till 12 for American stream and British Stream. I am always on the lookout for innovative teaching techniques and opportunities, which throughout the years have allowed me to successfully develop productive, thoughtful, and accomplished students.

I completed a "Maitrise" degree at the Lebanese University with a specialisation in General Chemistry which is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree with a teaching diploma (TD)
