1) I specialise in tutoring reading lessons for young learners. My goal is to keep them occupied, leading them through the lesson by asking questions and to understand what they are reading in a Story Book.
I will communicate with them throughout the class, focusing on the fact that they must do most of the reading/talking and having fun while doing it. I assign homework after every lesson and provide progress reports.
2) With adults I will talk about my business experiences of being a Sales Consultant for over 30 years communicating with clients to improve your business relationships and other related topics to improve their English communicating and negotiating skills.

As a student in my final year, I tutored school students at a private school in Biology and sports coaching.

I was born in Istanbul in 1983. I started teaching Turkish while studying Turkish Language and Literature at university. I worked in a language school and at universities. I have been teaching Turkish professionally for more than 16 years. I also taught Turkish for 5 years when I was a university student. In 2018, I obtained a TESOL certificate and also began teaching English.

I teach both adults and children. Creating a comfortable learning environment for my students is one of my top priorities. If you would like to learn Turkish or English in a consistent and structured way, I would be happy to work with you.

I hold firmly to two main principles: creating a comfortable space for learning and building an encouraging atmosphere.

Even though I use a communicative approach, my lessons are supported by a solid understanding of grammar, as Turkish has a very different structure.

I use the course book set prepared by Istanbul University. It follows a strategic approach to learning Turkish and includes all language skills—reading, grammar, writing, listening, watching, and speaking—from A1 to C2. All of these skills are essential for conversation.

I teach English for the A1 and A2 levels.

The workbook offers many exercises for homework or revision, and I support the book with my own authentic materials. I also use an interactive board that you can view anytime, and you can edit it as well. Repetition-based speaking practice plays an important role in my lessons.

I speak English well, and a bit of Italian, and I have also studied Persian and German grammar. I am interested in literature.
