BastienClassical saxophone / contemporary / improvisational approach / harmonic understanding / basic solfège
Student at the Brussels Conservatory. From practical lessons to theoretical notions, I know how to adapt to the student and his interests to provide a course that really brings him the elements that will allow him to quickly flourish in the musical field. With already 3 years of course experience in non-profit organizations and in particular, I usually train students of all ages, beginners or more advanced. I am open to a large number of musical styles, current or old, focusing my thought on a "musical whole". I currently specialize in classical and contemporary saxophone but I am also very open to improvisation and live music such as jazz and the styles that derive from it, but also to electronic music. My final goal is to allow the student to express his ideas in music, and that he really evolves and flourishes in what pleases him. I take beginners without any knowledge of music theory. I am available in: * Brussels region from Monday to Thursday * Tournai region from Friday to Sunday.
RaúlSaxophone lessons with professional saxophonist for all levels, children or adults. English, Español, Français
Professional saxophonist eager to teach and work to bring out the best version of yourself! The lessons are intended for all levels, children or adults. We follow a working method where you will continuously and deeply develop your musicality, way of playing, expressiveness and technique. -------------------------------------------------- ---------------------- Raúl is a Spanish saxophonist who finished his MASTER DIDACTIC in 2018 in the Ecole Supérieure des Arts in Mons. Before, he also followed a MASTER of INTERPRETATION at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (2015-2017) in the class of Alain Crepin and Simon Diricq. He studied at the "Musikene" (Higher Conservatory of Music of the Basque Country) with Eric Devallon, Tomás Jérez, Antonio Felipe Belijar and Miguel Ángel Lorente. Passionate about multidisciplinary artistic creation, he thinks of mixing all the arts in the same show as an aesthetic finality. We could observe this type of research in his project for his final master's recital in Brussels where he created a project based on Maslow's hierarchy of human needs theory where he mixes live, recorded, music and music. dance, play of light and effects under the name of: “according to Maslow…” In his career as a concert artist, he has played in different ensembles (solo, duo, trio, quartet, orchestra performances, etc.) and in different countries such as Japan (Artisanal music fair “Suono Italia” 2010), Belgium (Festival Musiq3 2016 ), Artonov Festival at BOZAR in 2016…), France (Dax chamber music festival 2011) or Spain (“Quincena Musical” music festival 2015, Aste Nagusia 2015, Heineken Jazzaldia 2014, Kutxa Festival 2015, Intercentros Melómano 2010).

WarreOnline saxophone lesson for beginners and advanced players!
How does a normal saxophone lesson look? A saxophone lesson is completely different every time. Maybe one week we'll learn a difficult technical piece and the next week a popular song of you choice. Sometimes we talk a little bit about music theory, other times we may be improvising. The first lessons we'll focus on building a good foundation: a perfect posture, the right breathing technique, finger- and mouth-positioning. A little knowledge about the instrument itself is certainly not skipped. Do I have to know music theory beforehand? No. During the lesson I will teach you music theory, to immediately apply it in practice. Rest assured, this does not precede playing the saxophone. For the people who already have a background in music theory, all the better. In the lessons I can refine your theoretical knowledge. How often do classes take place? You choose how often the saxophone lessons take place, this always depends on what you want to achieve yourself. It goes without saying that the more regularly you take lessons, the greater my commitment is. This is because the follow-up is easier. This of course depends entirely on your own work / school / life schedule. How often will I have to practice? Learning any instrument takes time and effort. The ideal solution is that you can practice a little bit every day, but I know that this is not possible for many. It is mainly a matter of exercising as consistently as possible. Preferably five minutes every day, then once a week for two hours. How long does it take before I can play known songs? That depends entirely on yourself. If you can practice every day from day one, it won't be long at all. If, on the other hand, you take your saxophone once every two weeks, it can take longer From and until what age can I learn to play the saxophone? There is no age on music. The young children can test whether they can hold a saxophone. For the little ones it is advisable to learn to play the saxophone on a curved soprano. The alt saxophone is the best option for all other interested people.

NicolóDo you want to learn how to play saxophone in Amsterdam?
Music is the best way of communication in the world, the most international language and an easy way of sharing. Teaching means a lot for me; it allows me to pass on beautiful things I have learnt and at the same time to improve thanks to my students' feedback. Music and musical teaching are about joy and never-ending curiosity. My lessons are totally compiled on the student's needs, both time-wise and content-wise, and they are aimed to get quick results. We can work out many different topics together, such as learning tunes, technique, improvising, as well as approaching theory, reading, circular breathing, altissimo register and multiphonics... The lessons usually take place in my studio close by Javaplein in Amsterdam or by my house in Bos en Lommer. I work mornings and evenings as well as in the week end. Saxophone is fun! Contact me and get a first lesson as soon as possible, I am looking forward to meeting you.

AnnaSaxophone, clarinet and music theory lessons for all levels and ages
Anna is an active performer and music tutor based in London. Originally trained as a classical clarinettist, she later took up saxophone as she drew closer to jazz and improvised music, then trained in jazz saxophone at the Perugia Conservatory of Music in Italy. Here she also studied the fundamentals of piano accompaniment and took second study classical clarinet. She is now a versatile player involved in a range of projects in the jazz, RnB, hip hop, afrobeat, funk and fusion genres. Anna is available to teach from absolute beginner to pre-university level inclusive, from the age of seven upwards. In your first lesson she will aim to get a good understanding of your level, strengths and areas to improve in, what your learning style is and what your musical interests are. A variety of activities and materials in a range of musical styles will be provided with the space for you to choose which work best for you. She will also discuss with you your goals and your musical experience or current activity, thus being able to cover appropriate elements in lessons and ultimately enabling you to get the most possible out of each lesson and your personal practice time. For classical clarinet and saxophone students (up to Trinity Guildhall grade 8 inclusive), lessons will obviously be more centred towards the execution of written works, covering repertoire from the Baroque period to the works of contemporary composers. Exam repertoire can also be studied optionally, if the student wishes to participate in graded examinations (Trinity Guildhall). Jazz or contemporary saxophone students will focus on developing their ear and internalising chord-scale theory, studying elements of music theory where necessary and exploring improvisation, transcription and their own musical vocabulary. There is also the option of working towards Trinity Guildhall graded examinations. Theory-exclusive lessons are available, covering exam-board courses as well as jazz theory and general areas of interest. All-rounder students are also more than welcome - they will cover a mix of styles and skills according to their taste, though never neglecting technique and fundamentals of the instrument. Beginner and absolute beginners, not to worry! Anna will take you through your first steps on your instrument, getting you playing from day one, always ensuring that good technique is learned early on. Lessons follow your pace so it doesn’t matter how quick of a learner you are or how much time you’re able to put into home practice - once one skill is well-internalised you will be able to move onto the next, securing steady progress whilst putting into practice lessons already learnt.

ValentinaHave fun by learning how to play the clarinet and discovering how the music works!
Do you want to have fun learning how to play the most beautiful instrument in the world or improve your skills with it? I'd be delighted to do it with you! I'm a classical clarinetist, I have two masters (recently graduated at Codarts) and different experience in orchestra, chamber music and teaching! My goal as a teacher is to stimulate the student to study in order to be at the disposal of music and not a passive player as can happen many times when you undertake a new study. That is why I like to play with my students and organize little private concerts and try-out. Concerning the music theory lessons, I am not going to bore you with long and incomprehensible explanations! We will study it in a fun and effective way! I've been studying music since I'm five years old and I started with the Kodaly method that made me approach music in a very natural way! I hope to see you soon!
