During my studies in General Linguistics and Spanish, I did a lot of research on L1 and L2 language acquisition and found out that self-paced learning with the full immersion approach leads to more engaged and successful progress in an online classroom.
An honest conversation about goals, dreams, or personal achievements can expand the objectives of each lesson and further boosts students’ confidence.
I learned about the immersion approach during my first job at the school here in Belgrade, where I taught and mentored groups of students with special needs who needed specifically tailored classes in which they would make a more relatable connection to the language in order to conquer it. That was one of the most meaningful and joyful years of my life.
During my work at BetaKid, my enthusiasm was shared by hundreds of students who have remained loyal to me to this day.
I want to be a valuable resource for students. I prefer to discuss many different topics and carefully integrate them into previously introduced contexts. That way we can target the vocabulary or grammar of the day so that students can make connections and expand their opinions as well as their knowledge.
In my teaching, I always strive to make my students feel heard and understood.

Education
My mother is an outstanding English teacher who has excellent interpersonal communication skills and has been helping students for more than 25 years. I followed in her footsteps and started my studies in General Linguistics combined with English and Spanish at the University of Belgrade in 2016. Unfortunately, I stayed at the undergraduate level because I needed to use my resources to expand my earning potential.
Experience / Qualifications
I am soon to become a TESOL-qualified English teacher who feels excited to change my focus to cater to all age groups and tailor the classes to their exact needs. In my teaching, I always strive to make my students feel heard and understood.
After spending more than three years as a content creator, successfully targeting specific audiences in engaging ways, and building content websites with my team members, I decided that the marketing industry was no longer a good fit for me.
Since returning to my first love, teaching children, I have taught over 500 students in over 6,000 lessons and have had a consistently high 97% booking rate for over two years. After thousands of hours developing a series of audio-visual aids to help students ages 2-14 develop listening, speaking, reading, and comprehension skills, I decided it was time for a change.
In 2023, I would like to further work on my techniques and adapt similar educational programs for beginners, intermediate or advanced students of different age groups, because I am sure that adapting to all age groups is crucial for a successful TEFL teaching career.
