Ik heb als gediplomeerd docent Engels jarenlange ervaring als docent in het voortgezet onderwijs, het MBO en aan volwassenen. Ik vind het eerst vooral belangrijk dat je plezier en vertrouwen krijgt in het spreken en/of schrijven van de Engelse taal, om je vervolgens te helpen steeds vaardiger te worden rond de onderwerpen die jij - voor je werk - belangrijk vindt of de toetsen/examens die je moet maken.

Ik spreek zowel Engels als Nederlands vloeiend, maar de lessen zullen zo veel mogelijk in het Engels zijn, zo leer je het snelst. Samen kijken we naar je doelen en hoe we die gaan bereiken. Ook de duur van de lessen stemmen we samen af.

Hello there! Ik ben Erna en al sinds jonge leeftijd helemaal verliefd op de Engelse taal. Ik spreek deze mooie taal vloeiend (met een licht Iers accent) en ik zie het als mijn missie om jou te helpen om ook met gemak en vertrouwen deze taal te spreken. Te vaak zie ik mensen onzeker worstelen terwijl ze eigenlijk al heel goed Engels spreken. Dat is echt niet nodig. En ik ben ervan overtuigd dat als je je eenmaal zekerder voelt bij het spreken, je veel makkelijk en sneller je vloeiendheid verbetert. Eerst vertrouwen, dan verbeteren.

Zelf heb ik in Ierland gewoond en daar in levende lijve ervaren hoe belangrijk het is de taal zo veel mogelijk te spreken en schrijven om er steeds beter in te worden. Daarom geef ik mijn lessen en (schriftelijke) feedback ook altijd in het Engels.

Based on my 13 years of experience, I think that A1 level is a very important period in language learning. When learning any language, beginner level students should learn it in the correct order and important details should be explained well by practising previous ones. Students at more advanced levels, such as A2, B1 or above, also need to practice their skills at the previous level thoroughly to improve their language skills. I try to provide good teaching by paying attention to these important points in my lessons. I keep our lessons' notes in a word file. After our lessons, I send you back all the additional notes and exercises that we covered in our lesson as a Word file.
