About Me

Hello, my name is Tyra. I've been teaching Dutch for three years. My native language was French, but by speaking Dutch all the time, I've completely changed. I've become Flemish now, and maybe after taking my classes, you will too ;). I have a youth work diploma and I've worked with children since I was 16. That's five years of experience in total. I've also been a youth leader in scouts and I've organized many camps for children. I know they love learning through play!

I have a Bachelor's degree in Law and I am currently studying International and European Law. Despite my legal training, I have a lot of experience working with young people.

A qualified language coach with 25 years of experience offers intensive Dutch lessons in a small class or online.

I give many Dutch NT2 lessons to expats and in preparation for an integration exam.
Specialized in guiding for the State Exam I and II. Special exam coach.

In January 2025 I will also start with groups again. We have a great classroom in the center of Rotterdam, near metro station Beurs, lessons with small homogeneous groups (little difference in level).

I use several methods which are specially conceived to teach Dutch to people who have a different mother tongue. I really like to use methods out of the ordinary like role games or methods with which you learn while playing. All these adapted to the student's situation of course.
