Many artists just starting out get completely lost in the variety of information available about digital art. I was just like this, with no idea which direction to take and what to do to progress. This class is designed to give a great start to your digital art career and ,most importantly, to teach you to learn on your own in the future.

Your learning will start from the very basics and the understanding of art principles and the software most used in the industry. Further on, the direction of the class will be decided according to your individual strengths and weaker points. After the end of the course you will be able to choose the professional direction in which you want to go and have the skills to proceed entering the industry.

In my home country there is no such thing as Digital Art Courses at university.
In fact a lot of people still don't want to accept digital as a kind of art at all.
So having this background I started learning on my own. I experienced all the struggles most of beginners go through and I know how it feels when you "Don't know what you don't know".
But with time I found ways to manage and create a clear path of progression,of getting better at digital art and this is why I want to share this with everyone who needs help and wants to learn.

Education

I've taken fine art courses since I was 11 and after 4 years I graduated the local Art School of my city.
After that I've worked actively as a freelancer, drawing and painting portraits.
Right now I study Fine Arts in Romania and Graphic design in Cyprus.

These sessions allow the development of skills and knowledge of the trade, with the game facing the camera, familiarization with the audiovisual environment and the camera tool, in the art of acting.

I am a multidisciplinary artist and designer with fifteen years of experience. I studied art and architecture at the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Columbia University in New York. I teach painting, drawing, digital image and creativity. This class is ideal for beginners but also intermediate students who want to develop their own style.

For my personal projects, I work in a wide range of mediums, from drawing, painting and printmaking to digital image and 3D Printing. When teaching, I prefer to first focus on free-hand drawing and painting as this allows for greater spontaneity regardless of the student's technical level. We later explore other methods based on the student's individual interests. I like to teach children and adults via mini projects involving art history references and help them develop narratives around their work. I deeply believe in people's creative potential and in my classes will help you channel your own voice.

Would you like to be able to illustrate the worlds and stories you imagine?

Do you want to learn how to create characters for a video game, animation, children's story, comic or in any format? Or would you like to be able to draw your favorite characters?

If you have those concerns, I would love to help you.

I like to focus the classes in such a way that the current drawing level of the student is not what is important. The room for improvement will always evolve. I like to take my classes towards character design, towards general things like the psychology of color and shapes, since they are assimilable and highly useful concepts, independent of the level of drawing. For this reason, my classes are aimed at all ages and drawing levels.

I also try to focus them on the preferences and tastes of each student, showing them that everything they like, they like for a reason, that nothing is left to chance and that they can also understand how to make their drawings reflect what they want to convey. Even to create your portfolios or visual information for your own project or story.

I give private classes with students from different parts of the world, so many of my classes I have been able to do in both English and French.

I studied 2D animation in France, and thanks to this training, my work has been nourished by dynamism, storytelling, expressiveness, typical of this medium, as well as the sensitivity for color and shapes that I usually use to infuse a unique style both to my original designs as well as my fanarts.

I have a bachelor's degree in digital arts, obtained at Saint Luc in 2016. During my studies I made live models, had courses in color, 2D animation, perspectives and character design.
I mainly draw with a graphics tablet.
During the lessons we will see how:
- look at an image, understand how the artist composes it, then learn to reproduce a style.
- use layers
- use filters to give more life to images
- learn different coloring methods, from grayscale coloring to colorization with filters
- use different brushes
- export illustrations in the correct formats
- integrate photos into your drawings

I work as a 3D generalist for cinema and/or video games, with a specialization in 3D Layout/Préviz.
