JoanaSinging Lessons / Recorder (Blokfluit) lessons for all ages
I am a singer and recorder player, studying in the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I can teach you recorder or singing and adapt to your tastes and needs.
In both instruments, I focus as a teacher and performer, on a healthy, joyful and technically skilled way of playing and singing. With my students, I focus not only on the instrument sound production, but also on body posture, relaxation and organic movement. A happy, relaxed body produces a beautiful, natural and relaxed sound.
What music style would you like to learn?
Would you like to play folk music, to sing pop songs or walk through a more classical path?
I have experience in different areas, having sang and played folk and jazz music and also studied in the Conservatorium for a long time.
I can also help you with music theory, from the basic introduction to music to advanced solfeggi and rhythms. I graduated in Musicology and studied Music Pedagogy in Portugal before moving to Amsterdam.
For little children I can also combine the playing of the instrument with more didactic activities mixed with body movement and dance!
In the past I taught how to play and sing, from little children (4 years old) to adults with around 60 years old, in group sets and individual lessons. I can adapt to your needs and requests!
And most of all, you will fall in love with music, all kinds of music and have loads of fun!

BarbaraPrivate lessons "Flute in fashion"
I propose a course suitable for all ages (young children to retirees), and levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced). Since each student has strengths and weaknesses, I favor an individualized approach that is adapted to everyone's needs.
The main objective of the course is to help the student to improve in his skills (breathing, posture, articulation, accuracy, interpretation etc.). For the little ones, I practice the Suzuki method, which facilitates learning by listening and I also use other approaches, such as technical Alexander, yoga, and Qi Gong, to improve body awareness during musical performance.
I teach several musical styles (classical, contemporary, jazz and variety music), and it is important for students to enjoy the music they play.
TatianaPlaying Flute (dwarsfluit) - Any age, any genre, starting now
My name is Tatiana and I am a flute player and an electronic musician.
My passion for music first started when I was young and my parents showed me Brazilian folk music and I felt that I wanted to be able to play some of my favourite songs.
I ended up in a classic conservatory and throughout my career I developed myself both as a classical and folk musician.
I started to teach when I was 18 and for 6 years I taught in a project similar to the one of El Sistema in Venezuela. There I found how music can take such a social action on a community and develop the feeling of responsibility and friendship.
In our lessons I would love tho share this feeling with you and enable you to develop the tools to share your passion with the world. This can come from playing a song, learning how to program or just by finding new ways on how to hear and experience music.
This class is open to anyone from any age.
MarkusFLUTE/SAXOPHONE. Jazz/technique/improvisation lessons.
This class includes absolutely everything what the student is interested in terms of jazz and improvised music since the openness of Markus and thanks to the previous experience from CVA in terms of teaching and playing jazz in the Amsterdam Scene.
Markus follows a more open-environment learning atmosphere whilst keeping the traditional teaching methods in mind. Technique exercises and information about the improvised music are the 2 pillars of the lesson. Also, its good to mention that the lessons are not what you'd expect from a traditional lesson. We rarely use paper in the lesson and the most important aspect is not the eyes but the ears. Since improvisation doesn't use paper, why would we use it in the lesson?
