This class is to introduce you to the basics of acrylic painting. Whether it’s your very first time using a paint brush, or you need extra practice I will assist and teach you the basics acrylic painting. There is no rules in art only foundations. Let’s get started and make some art together!

My name is Anita, and I am an interdisciplinary neurodivergent artist. I combine traditional and unconventional teaching methods with an innovative approach, adapted to the fast-paced era we live in, where attention spans can be short. My teaching integrates principles of psychology to better understand each student’s unique needs and aspirations. My goal is to nurture visionary children who have strong foundational values and a humble sense of self. I believe that true artistic mastery comes from human excellence. Also, in this way, students develop true self-confidence by evaluating their success based on personal progress rather than comparing themselves to others. This course is especially recommended for neurodivergent children (with Autism Level 1 - Asperger's Syndrome, ADHD, OCD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Hypersensitivity, and Anxiety) with multiple interests who struggle to choose, focus on, and manage various subjects. It helps develop both technique and discipline, enabling them to navigate multiple creative fields—essentially putting their eggs in several baskets while honing the skills necessary for diverse career opportunities in an uncertain job market. The program encourages a generalist mindset, promoting versatility without compromising creative integrity. Students will learn to refine their Zoom In/Zoom Out perspective, gaining the ability to see both the bigger picture and the finer details of any subject. The program's structure guides the individuals through three essential phases: Exploration Phase–Presentations, visual games, and foundational lessons introduce students to various disciplines, helping them discover their interests. Development Phase–They start defining their creative goals, practicing their skills, and trying out various artistic approaches. Mastery Phase - With a clear direction, students focus on long-term goals, whether as brand-focused professionals, university students, or future educators. Disciplines covered include architecture, painting, illustration, concept design (especially for gaming), traditional animation, digital art, children's book illustration, film, creative writing, and music (the art of songwriting). A Purposeful, Transparent Approach I work closely with each student, providing honest yet supportive evaluations to help identify their strengths. My goal is to guide serious and passionate learners and not to mislead families into unnecessary expenses. I strive to be straightforward in a respectful and encouraging manner, communicating if a child may not be suited for this path. Together, we'll explore your current level, what skills you'd like to learn, and establish a goal to guide the lesson content. I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

All parts of two dimensional art are based in the core components of shape, line, form, color, texture, value, and rhythm. This class will serve as a crash course in how to identify the parts of a whole subject and translate it into whichever medium you wish to try. Class time will be spent constructing subjects using shape, exploring forms of still life's, implementing and explaining the use of references, understanding basic lighting and shadow, applying line weight, understanding basic color theory, and sharing techniques used to successfully portray an artistic subject. The lessons are suited for absolute beginners, people wanting to try a new hobby or grow a passion. More experienced artists will also be able to participate by having a positive environment for constructive critiques, to enhance their skills and techniques, or to simply seek advice and communication with a fellow artist.

This class will guide you through the essentials of painting and drawing, covering foundational skills such as perspective, anatomy, and color theory, as well as techniques for analyzing and critiquing artwork. I am an artist and philosopher from Amsterdam currently living in Antwerp. I studied in London where I acquired a BA from Art Academy London and a BA in philosophy from St Mary's University London. Artistic development starts by identifying your artistic interest. As artists, we don’t always know why we draw and paint the things that we do. Yet they are not random. What captivates us or draws us towards certain artworks? This might be the tonal way in which light reflects, structural forms or mathematical division. The point being, is that we all have such aesthetic interests and step 1 is finding out what interests you! Step 2 is helping you express your interests through painting techniques, styles and materiality. But it all starts with you. What do you want to say? And how? I will help you do this through discussion, looking at your previous work (if you have any), introducing you to a LARGE variety of artists, potentially copying their styles. I adjust my classes according to your needs. The goal is simple: to come to understand your artistic interest, help you find techniques to express them and develop your artistic language. (Please note that just because you have found an artistic interest and a way to express it, it does not mean that you must do only one thing for the rest of your life. It is the downfall of creativity to repeat and paint the same way over and over again. Instead, allow your interests to drive your creativity. Let it be the starting point, venture out and discover it from various angles and ways of expressing it. But also be mindful that as we grow our interests can change and as they change, we must remain honest and respond accordingly such that our artistic language can also grow.) Have questions? No experience required!! Hello! My name is Makenna, and I have been making art and painting for almost 10 years. I started very young, and believe that all students have infinite potential to learn an art form, no matter what access they have to materials. Whatever materials you have available, will be what I use! I'm very passionate about demonstrating that its not the materials that matter, it's the artist's passion. I'm very excited to work with you! In this workshop, I can show you the basics of watercolor painting; how to mix colors, how to layer colors, how to use a reference. I can help you work towards completing a finished piece to be proud of. Be prepared to possibly get messy and have fun! If you decide we're a good match, and want to continue working with me, we will expand on these concepts and work on curating a list of goals you'd like to achieve. By the end of our time together, however many sessions that may be (I can work with you to create a plan based on a desired amount of sessions), I hope to have helped you achieve all of your goals in watercolors and improve your confidence within the medium!

My aim is to make complex topics accessible and rewarding to learn. For students who are more interested in self-expression and storytelling, we work with creative expression exercises. These activities are more emotional and intuitive, designed to help students put themselves into their art, exploring their own identity, style and imagination. In all cases, I foster a safe and inspiring space where students can grow at their own rhytm, not following a one-size path.

In this class, you will learn the basics of how to paint a full-color and monochromatic portrait. You will learn the techniques of painting a portrait, color theory, blending, shading, highlighting, proportions, and proper mapping of features. This class will cover all the basics to further your skills to more advanced concepts. This class will be based on your progress and pace. Once a skill has been achieved, we will move on to applying it to different/more advanced skills. Our lessons at the beginning will be mastering shading and highlighting with shapes, and we will slowly advance to portrait painting since this is the basis of portraits.
