Hello there! My name is Meghan, and I am an American currently living in Hannover, Germany. I began playing piano when I was eight years old, and found in it a talent and passion. I studied piano under the amazing Milica Jovanovic at Western Washington University, and went on to earn my Bachelors in Music. I have nine years of experience with teaching private lessons, with ages ranging from 5-65. I am most experienced and comfortable teaching those at the beginning or intermediate levels. I believe that music is one of the most beautiful things in this world, and that it can richly enhance our lives, intellect, and creativity. I love introducing new students to the joy of playing piano and experiencing music. I look forward to hearing from you!

From my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons, cultural studies. During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant. My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis). So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.

Hi, I'm Karoline! I have a Bachelor of Education from the University of Music and performing arts Vienna and have been teaching for several years. Whether you are a complete beginner (of any age) or have been playing for many years - my lessons will be customized to fit you personal needs and goals. For me the most important thing is to pass down my passion for the instrument and music and to teach you how to be confident with your instrument. I can also prepare you for exams (i.e. entrance exams for a music university) and teach lessons in music theory and ear training. In my lessons I like to occasionally use methods from elementary music education, which focuses on musical expression. That way you can practice to express yourself and your feelings on the instrument and the typical fear of mistakes is being avoided. I teach in a beautiful room with a grand piano near the Belvedere. Learning to play the piano is a wonderful and very diverse experience! Every beginner has to go through it in their own special way in order to realize one's personal aspirations. After finishing music school with the highest grades twice as well as a number of additional courses (improvisation, composition, orchestras, etc.) and after honing my teaching skills for more than 4 years, I can safely say that my lessons may prove useful to any type of student with any kind of given objective at hand. No matter your age, your previous experience, or background, you just need to name me your personal goal, task, or even a dream - be ready to dedicate a little time and effort, and I will take care of all the rest. Learning your favorite song, getting prepared for a concert, or simply improving the skills you already possess - in music, everything is possible and achievable, and I'll be more than glad to prove it to you in our lessons.

I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons to students of all levels. As a pianist 12 years of teaching experience and over 21 years of playing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the course of learning piano. If the student is interested in a more serious approach, I can also guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) exams. I also have successful experience preparing students for entrance to conservatory and for various competitions. Recently, my students have achieved highest marks in the ABRSM exams as well as prizes in competitions. We also have a class concert for interested students twice per year. I am happy working in both a relaxed and serious approach, we simply need to discuss the objectives of the student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music." Prior to this, I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance/Music from University of Minnesota and TCU-Fort Worth, TX, USA. My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as soloist with orchestra (also as harpist), and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio and look forward to meeting new students.

I am a Vietnamese pianist and I would love to share nice music to you with a friendly environment. I have finished my Master in piano specialisation in Royal Conservatory of Liège, and now I'm finishing piano accompaniment in Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Giving concerts, making some recording, working in both classical and contemporary music, and with more than 10 years of experience in teaching, I would be happy to share all my knowledge and enjoy the music together!

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

I started taking violin lessons at the age of 7. After years of training I am currently continuing my violin studies at Utrecht Conservatory. I have also attended music theory class for 6 years, because it is very useful to have some knowledge of it when playing any instrument. If you would like, I would be more than happy to share some knowledge of music theory along with the violin lessons. Lessons are private and not in groups.

Considered “Best Colombian Young Pianist 2018” after winning the first prize in the national piano competition in Colombia. I have a Master's degree from Liszt Ferenc in Budapest, Hungary, and a Master's degree from Columbus State University in the United States. Besides my career as a pianist, I have over 10 years of experience in teaching Piano, music theory, and history for all ages and categories. Even if you are a beginner we can make it! I have a personal method where I combine both classical and commercial repertoire depending on the student’s preferences. I usually play four hands with my students as well and organize at least one concert a year with all my students where they can meet and share their experiences. If you are an enthusiast about piano competitions, we can also work on that together. I will guide and support you through all the steps of the learning experience.

My goal is to make people of all ages and levels learn not only playing an instrument but how can music help them in their everyday life. I am an Albanian violinist, with a Bachelor degree in Classical Music (Violin) and Musicologie in Sorbonne University. Over the years, my experiences with different youth and professional orchestras all around Europe have made me understand that music is important not only for professional musicians but also for everyone. I can teach in English or French and of course in my mother tongue Albanian.

This course is aimed at children who want to start in the world of music. We will learn basic notions of reading the staff and develop the ear, while we get to know the piano, and we explore the possibilities of our own voice. In this course we will also have music appreciation sessions of different genres and rhythms.

Giving yourself a chance to learn a musical instruments is a very unique experience as a person. It helps the students to showcase or even enhance those hidden gifts. You'll not only have deeper understanding of music but you'll also learn new things about your capacity as a human being.
