It is a pleasure to connect with you. I am a mother of two children who are 16 and 9 years old, therefore I am aware of the hard work it takes to raise and educate your children. I believe that children are our future and with our guidance we are able to provide them with the tools required to lead happy and independent lives.

I also teach English to adults. Adult English learners may want to learn English for work or conversational purposes. I am happy to put together specified lessons for all my learners so that they can gain as much as possible from my lessons.

I have a Bachelors in Business Management and Leadership and an MBA. I worked as a corporate legal advisor for the first 8 years of my career and then moved on to teaching full time. I also have completed a Master Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language to both children and adults.

I absolutely love to teach and it brings me joy when I see and hear my students progressing. I am a regular class teacher and I teach my students consistently through the year.

TECHNOLOGIES FOR LEARNING.

Hey,

My name is Laurie and I am an independent FLE teacher, graduated in French and Romance languages and literature since 2012. I have five years of experience under my belt (abroad and in Belgium). I have created a teaching method for online courses.

The course includes:
-The material (articles, videos, exercises from images and texts, grammatical theory, links to the exercises...). I use Google Doc so it's best to have a Gmail address to access it.
-The correction of exercises outside of class (the written expressions are corrected outside of class, or with the student, according to his needs).
-Access to an application (free) to study vocabulary on your smartphone.
-A vocabulary sheet - pronunciation - grammar / conjugation, sent after each course.
-If necessary, a vocabulary recording (for beginners).
-The realization of online exercises and tests from the sent vocabulary sheets.
-Motivation, laughter, good mood :-)

My method:
- It's based on speaking.
-For grammar I use a question/answer method (learned during the training at the CERAN center).
-We work on pronunciation with the verbotonal method (exercises for setting your voice, for rhythm, etc.). I might even make you sing! :-)
-Everything goes through the spoken word before the written word, but I clearly adapt to the needs of the students.
-The course is a little different for children and adolescents: I use interactive games and cards via webcam.

I like to use different methods to teach French to students. It can be through songs, drama, role play or videos. I also very often use situations close to the student's experience, such as describing places they have been or talking about what they have experienced. At the same time, I teach the grammar rules to the student. I now live in regions where French has been spoken for over 30 years.
