About Me
Hello my Name Is Micheal. I don't like to write about myself in the third person, so I'll just tell you who I am and what I do. If you want to search directly for prices, just scroll down.
I've been a professional musician since August 2000 and have played thousands of gigs in different countries and with different bands. Sometimes it was well-known bands or artists, but most of the gigs at the beginning of my career were in pubs or at parties, town festivals and the like. Later, it gradually became larger and more professional events. Although I still like to play in pubs today!
In 2005 I started playing with the legendary Joe Schwarz Orchestra at the Wasen. In the Schwabenbräu tent at the Laubwirt. There I mainly learned how to read music and also learned to play 12 hours a day for 17 days. It was an educational time! That band grew into a seven-piece band that I still play with a lot. We played in the circus, on the cruise ship, at countless galas across Germany, at the DTM and of course at weddings and private parties.
That band's rhythm section, bass, drums and myself, simultaneously became another band, The Strobez.
In 2006 I moved to Amsterdam and there and in Rotterdam, at the legendary Paddy Murphy's, The Strobez started playing an endless series of club gigs. In Holland, Germany, France, Belgium, England, Denmark and Switzerland. My debut album was released in 2006, followed by our second album in 2017.
In the meantime, I got to know the Freiburg drummer Schröder and his incredibly creative environment through Dodokay's band "Welcome to The Pleasuredome". I consider myself lucky to be able to get involved there sometimes.
I've been living in my hometown Metzingen since 2018 and I think that's great.
Look, I could write a book. But not me.
Instead, I decided to pass on my knowledge and experience to my students.
If you're a beginner, let's learn the basics first, but focus on making music as quickly as possible.
If you're more advanced, we'll find out where you can improve and then I'll show you how. We look at what kind of music you want to make and how to get the sound you want.
You don't need to be able to read notes. I wasn't able to do that until I was 25. But I have to say that it's by far the best system for writing down music.
By the way, the “you” is an occupational disease. I'd be happy to see you too. For free.

Education
Even before I graduated in 1999, I played a lot live. During my community service, I gave lessons in the evenings and started playing more. This is my education.
Experience / Qualifications
The thousands of live performances in a wide variety of styles, on cruise ships, in the circus, in the orchestra pit at rock festivals as a band leader or sideman are my experiences that I am happy to share.
