I am a first-year at Durham University with years of experience tutoring younger students. My main focus areas are Biology, Geography, History and French, but I am happy to tutor most subjects! I will provide past paper questions, helpful advice, and tips for exams, as well as tailoring lessons to students’ specific needs and abilities.

Took 11 GCSEs in June 2023 - received nine Grade 9s (A*), one Grade 8 (A*) and one grade 7 (A).

I have tutored many younger students and helped them gain confidence and skills in their chosen subjects, improving their results in school!
I have experience tutoring students of all abilities, as well as those with special needs.
I have also shadowed various teachers and taken part in other activities with children such as organising arts and crafts activities at a Red Cross refugee shelter, as well as working at the Maison Relais (crèche) in my village.

Personalised tutoring for CIE A Level Geography and Biology, Edexcel International A Level History (China, Britain, Superpowers, Civil Rights), AQA A Level French. I received all A*s in my A levels and will provide feedback, practice questions, and explain content based on the student’s needs.

English class for all ability levels, taught mostly in English but can also help in Slovak/French if needed

As a native English speaker, I am fully proficient in the language. I am also bilingual from birth, and speak various languages now. I have worked with refugee children where there was a language barrier, as well as in local schools where we did not speak the same language. I have also volunteered to help French primary school students improve their English.
This all means that I am not only very familiar with the language, but also that I have lots of experience teaching English. I can adapt classes to the student’s needs and ability level, providing work to help them focus on their problem areas, whether those are speaking, reading, writing, or other. I will provide progress reports to parents (if applicable) and adapt my approach if/when needed.
