Hello! I’m Emma, a native English speaker and a recent McGill University graduate who spent the last year working as an Assistant Teacher in a New York City public Middle School.

In our English language sessions, I will help my students create a powerful and concrete foundation of the English language. No matter what level my students start off at, I will help them transition from their existing skill set to a level where they feel comfortable with conversational English--and even beyond! I am eager to help my students achieve their desired goal--collectively we will reach these goals. As a qualified English teacher and recent English university graduate, I have set out to develop my vocation for teaching by teaching English to non-speakers. The lessons I give usually focus on the practical aspects of language learning and usually gets students to produce as much English as possible. I can teach a range of English levels; from absolute beginners to those who want to develop an academic standard.

I have been teaching English in Thailand for 5 years. I worked in several types of establishments (schools, language schools, private lessons) and with pupils aged 3 to 17. I also teach French and German.
With my 5 years of experience, I am able to create lesson plans adapted to the needs and age of my students, to organize original activities related to the themes addressed in classes.
