Hello! My name is Yaiza and I am a guitar teacher and student of LUCA (School of arts) in Leuven. I am here to help you to learn how to play the guitar. It doesn't matter what is your level, if you are a beginner or if you have been playing for a while. We will work together with tablature and pentagrams, as you prefer! We will use your favourite songs, fun exercises, listen to music, and other methods to enjoy learning. I really love to teach and every person has something special to show through music. I am a dedicated classical guitarist with a decade of experience teaching people of all ages and levels. Over the years I've pursued many styles: from Western classical music to Indian classical music, from bluegrass and folk music to popular songs and jazz standards. I'm from New York City where I studied at top conservatories, and my playing has been heard in major concert venues in the US, India, Mexico, Canada, and most recently Belgium. I love working with new students to create a lesson plan tailor-fitted to their musical interests. Let's get playing! I'm able to host lessons in Leuven, travel to you, or meet via webcam.

Very welcome if you want to learn how to play the guitar. We'll cover the basics, or for more advanced players we can work on improvisation and play some iconic guitar solos. After the lessons you get the necessary pdfs/scores, so you know what you can practice at home. If you like jazz music and want to learn all about swing and playing through changes, we can work on this too! Ask away if you have any questions.

I give piano and music theory/ music writing (composition) classes in regions Brussels and Leuven. I have studied in Italy (piano) and at Brussels Conservatoire (music writing). I like sharing my artistic knowledge and experience with motivated students of all ages and varied backgrounds. In my teaching method I try to focus on the strong points and qualities of the student in order to build up technical skills which will help the student to overcome difficulties in a simple and natural way. It is crucial for me to make the student able to express their personality in an autonomous and creative way.

Pianolessen aangepast aan uw smaak en niveau. U zegt wat u verwacht van de lessen zodat ik u optimaal pianoles kan geven. Bijvoorbeeld: u wilt pianostukken leren lezen en spelen. Hierbij moet ik de relevante theorie aan u ook geven. Extra theorie is aan u de keuze om in te studeren, maar het hoeft niet. Mijn lessen zijn dus efficiënt gericht. Als leerling kan u uiteindelijk zelf kiezen aan welke pianostukken we werken(eerst moet het goedgekeurd worden door mij), zodat het piano spelen leuk en leerrijk blijft. Ik behandel klassiek muziek, pop muziek, videogame, movie, anime muziek etc… veel genres dus! Een ander voorbeeld: u wilt een piano cover maken van een bestaand stuk(bv. pop muziek of movie muziek). Ik zal u de theorie meegeven van akkoorden en het lezen van notenbalken. Zo kan u al snel aan de slag gaan. Samen gaan we voldoende oefenen zodat je alles goed begrijpt! Ook kunnen we samen improviseren op je piano. Stuur gerust een bericht als u vragen heeft :) Ik heb al privé les gegeven aan volwassenen en kinderen, zowel online als fysiek. Beide opties werken uitstekend! Online doen we via Skype of een ander app indien gewenst. Fysiek doen we in Leuven stad (bij uw thuis). Idealiter geef ik 1 keer in de week les, je oefent thuis dan verder op je piano tegen de volgende les in de week erna. Indien u wenst voor om de week les of 2 keer in de week les, dan kan dat ook voor mij. Waarom kiezen om piano te leren spelen? Het is wetenschappelijk bewezen dat een instrument bespelen iemand slimmer maakt(goede hersentraining). Je kan je pianoskills laten tonen aan anderen maar je kan jezelf ook blij maken en belonen door middel van je piano. Ik heb van mijn vrienden gehoord dat ze spijt hebben dat ze geen instrument hebben leren spelen, hopelijk word jij niet zoals hun… Je leeft maar 1 keer! Waar wacht je nog op? Hopelijk tot dan! ^_^

I took lessons with Kristof Neyens (rock school leuven) for several years, and now I would like to share my experience. Classes: Depending on your preference, we can draw up a lesson plan together with individual assignments. I also try to work as much as possible with the genres that you like to listen to yourself, this is of course more motivating (after all, you don't want to try to teach Mozart to a Metal fan ;)) My approach is certainly not like that of the 'music theory' at the academy. From your first lesson you will immediately start playing songs. I only use music theory if it is really necessary or if you would like to delve into it. Practical: I follow distance education so I can actually go at any time of the week, online lessons are also a possibility. In onze lessen heb je de keuze om klassieke muziek, populaire muziek, jazz, improvisatie, notenleer en (gevorderde) muziektheorie te leren. Dit op basis van het niveau en de behoeften van de leerlingen. . . . Hi! As a bachelors student Jazz - Piano at the LUCA School Of Arts, Campus Lemmens, I am eager to teach you how to navigate your fingers on the keys or propel you forward if you're already an experienced piano player. In our lessons you have to option to learn classical music, popular music, jazz, how to improvise, solfege and (advanced) music theory. This based on the students level and needs.

20 year old student in Leuven who likes to help people get a lot of pleasure / support from playing the classical guitar. Just graduated after 11 years of conservatory classical guitar. 9 years basic diploma and 2 years specialization classical guitar. In addition, followed the following courses: music theory / music history / improvisation (this on electric guitar) / band coaching / ensemble playing / rock school ... Can impart the most on a technical level and in the field of interpretation on the classical guitar. Reading, understanding, playing and writing music. I offer lessons for children and adults, no matter the level. In my lessons, in addition to learning technique and the instrumental repertoire (clarinet), you learn the language of music in all its facets (solfeggio, rhythmics, dictation, harmony, elements of composition). The method I use varies for each individual student and depends not only on his/her level, but on what interests him/her most and what serves his/her artistic growth. I am Ezio, I am Italian and I moved to Belgium to continue my studies. I have a degree in clarinet, I also studied conducting for wind orchestras, musical propaedeutics and also theatre and theatre therapy. I have worked with youth bands and taught in two music schools in Sicily. I am always interested in new methodologies and everything that can make learning not only functional, but also a real pleasure.

Whether you’re starting out or want to have better technique or learn new repertoire, I can help you improve on the most popular instrument there is, the guitar. There are many styles I can help you initiate in or develop such as classical guitar (my favorite), pop music, folk or acoustic. Lessons are dynamic, fun and relaxed designed for all levels.

I am a flute player based in Leuven. I obtained my master degree in flute in September 2020 at LUCA School of Arts and I am currently beginning bachelor music therapy. In 2017 I obtained my diploma in Pedagogical Formation. As a teacher I have taught flute in different schools and to students of any age. Due to my pedagogical studies in Dokuz Eylül University, I have full knowledge of training approaching to students in different age ranges. I welcome learners of all skill levels, from beginners who are completely new, to those with some childhood experience, to the advanced level players who need of fresh inspiration. I believe that everyone has an ear for music to some degree and that anyone can learn how to play succesfully. I can offer clearly structured lessons to students of any age, interested in classical music repertoire but also in other genres as pop. The lessons can be conducted in Dutch, English or Turkish.
