The modern world is a hostile place for our bodies. In the old days, our ancestors had to walk, run and climb trees every day. They did not use chairs, cars, or computers. They were seated on the ground, they squatted regularly. We tend to forget how new our civilization is. And that's not necessarily what we're made for. Your job probably requires sitting for an extended period of time. Either drive to work or work from home. As the amount of stress and tasks increase, your shoulders start to sag. Slowly your back stiffens and your breathing becomes shallow. When you are seated, your back becomes rounded and your head is heavy. Your back hurts and your neck hurts. Back pain makes you move less. Then your back hurts even more. So you move even less. Etc. Little by little, the quality of your life decreases. These courses will give you the tools to break this vicious cycle and improve your life. The world is as it is. So you can't just walk all day. We still have to do our job, we still have to sit for long periods of time. But there is still a lot to do! During yoga classes with me, you will learn how to sit properly to protect your back effortlessly while you work. You will learn how to stand correctly so that your body gets a stable base. You will learn how to lie down well to allow your body to rest. With various yoga poses, you will strengthen your muscles and improve body alignment. You will get the tools to calm the restless mind and improve your quality of life. The practice of yoga is a holistic practice. My classes will introduce you to the beauty of flowing sequences and how to connect you breath with your movements. I will focus on energizing your body through core strenghth and dynamic flows or more grounding standing series. What I like about teaching: I'm interested in encouraging people to use their breath in an empowering and healing way. For mathematics and English courses, I first explain the general concepts and the theory, after which we work together on the examples. Whenever possible, I try to give students a small homework assignment. As for the dance, the class starts with the warming up of the body, which depends on the personal predispositions of the pupil-one practices special steps, choreographs, improvises, stretches, etc. As a dancer, I am professionally doing contemporary dance but I mix different styles: I also dance hip-hop and breakdance, I train in ballet to always keep, I have experience in oriental dance , which interests me a lot: I am then at your disposal if it is the choice of style!

A full course of one hour (60 min) with the possibility of reserving for a longer duration (90 min). My classes are mainly oriented on the connection with the breath, the anchoring and the deep muscular work. The lessons are adapted according to the level of the students, and I offer several variations: Hatha Yoga: general category which encompasses most of the styles practiced. "Hatha" means "perseverance", "effort" or even "determination". To be determined to achieve liberation within a certain period. This discipline is in relation with "prana", the vital force and its two components: masculine energies, considered as solar and active + feminine energies considered as lunar and passive. From there was born another interpretation according to which "Ha" & "Tha" would mean the sun and the moon united and balanced through the practice of Hatha yoga. The soul being the sun, constant and stable in its brilliance and luminosity, the spirit being the moon, constantly fluctuating and changing like the phases of the moon. The basic principle of Hatha yoga being to unite and harmonize the opposing energies of the body; the mind and its reactions. We unite the body and the spirit to unite the spirit with the universe. A Hatha yoga class consists of physical postures and breathing exercises. The postures are performed slower and last for a few breaths (30 seconds to a few minutes) to promote anchorage and stability. A real in-depth muscular work. Vinyasa Yoga: the Sanskrit term Vinyasa is derived from 2 roots "Nyasa" which means "to place" and "Vi" which can be translated as "in a specific way". Each movement is linked to rhythm and consciously placed to create a dynamic flow. It is a more rhythmic and powerful yoga which allows to link the postures in a harmonious way with transitions commonly called "vinyasa" and used in particular during the sun salutations. Here we retain the postures in a shorter time than during a Hatha yoga session, but we are still aware of our movements and our alignment. Gentle yoga: for people looking for relaxation, a stretching work inspired by Yin Yoga to release muscle tension and settle into letting go. Meditation: work on the chakras; the 7 main energy centers of the body, often represented by 7 specific colors.
