As a passionate performer, student and teacher, I offer private lessons in English and other languages to individuals of most proficiency levels and any age group. I have the most to offer to beginners. There are certain materials, methods, and repertoire lists that I will consistently rely on for most teaching, but every student will receive advice and exercises tailored to their specific needs. Extra information

Students will need an instrument, which in some cases I can not provide. Depending on the age/size of the student, borrowing or renting instruments is possible. If the student is a young child, new instruments in small sizes are available for very reasonable prices. It is not recommended that a beginner student purchase an instrument without the instruction or supervision of their teacher!

Unless the student is very young (preschool age), I don't recommend lessons shorter than 60 minutes. Infants can't really play an instrument. At these ages, only the ear and basic motor skills can be developed.

About Me

I'm a 24 year old musician and student. I'm currently studying a university-level degree in Classical Viola Performance at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag.
I was born and raised in Spain to parents from the U.S. and Iceland (both professional musicians), and I'm fluent in the languages of all 3 countries. I have unfortunately not yet learned to speak Dutch.

Education

-Currently studying college-level viola performance at the Koninklijk Conservatorium
-Orchestras: Orquesta de Niños de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, Orquesta Joven de la Sinfónica de Galicia, Úngsveit Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands.

Experience / Qualifications

My musical experience includes:

- 15 years of violin lessons and performing experience as a violinist, studying under accomplished and reputable musicians in multiple countries.
- 3 years of Viola studies, also with excellent professionals
- Several years of weekly piano lessons at an early age.
-Theoretical and practical knowledge acquired during years of conservatory studies, both in Spain and Iceland and currently in the Netherlands.
-Multiple participations in youth orchestras, including those of the Icelandic symphony and the Galician symphony, among others.

My teaching experience includes:

- Violin private lessons in Spain and Netherlands.
- Private English teacher in Spain.
