I am an American with over ten years' experience teaching English to native and non-native speakers, both in the United States and globally (South Africa, Guatemala, Brazil, Argentina, Thailand, and The Netherlands). I tutor and provide copy editing services those who are looking to improve academic performance or prepare for a transition to a new country, as well as adults who are in or entering the workforce or who want to strengthen their Business English.

I am a writer, copy editor and former full-time teacher; I decided to retire from full-time teaching in order to spend more time with my two little girls, but tutoring allows me to continue to use my skills to assist others.

When not teaching or copy editing, I read and play with my daughters here in Den Haag, write literature for pleasure, and read the most challenging thing within my hand's grasp.

Hi, I am Sandra, I speak German as a r language. I was born in Germany and I studied as a German teacher. I have learned several high-level speeches (French, English, Hungarian, Spanish) I can organize your tailor-made lessons, for example for an exam or for work.

My goal is to teach younger children/students the correct way of the English language. I have had precious experience with tutoring while I lived in Germany. During my time in tutoring,I learnt that children tend to learn faster and easier when enjoying a lesson. I therefore try to keep my lessons fun and exciting but of course, effective. My lessons included tasks like word puzzles, role play, quizzes etc. I provide worksheets, but I am open to helping out with homework they received from school or anything they are having problems with. At the end of every few lessons, I like to give a small exam on what was learnt the past few hours. Just to see what can be improved or What has already become a plus.

As a master's student in social statistics, I graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science and a scientific baccalaureate before that. Having lived several years abroad, I am able to give English lessons or lessons in other subjects in English.
I propose to rework the subjects covered in class at a pace adapted to the student. It can be a follow-up or a preparatory course for a DS.

Having lived in Germany for a few years and having passed exams I was certified with the B2 Telc certificate in grammar. It will be a pleasure to help with the German language (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, discussion, reading, listening, and writing) as I have been very interested in this language and German culture.

Finally, I can also offer English classes as I have the C1 level and have been living in New Zealand for a year as well.
