I offer violin lessons to students of all ages. My approach is based off the Vivaldi Method combined with elements of the Suzuki. I have taught violin students for the past four years in the United States with the Vivaldi Method developed by violin pedagogue Ida Bieler. I have taught pre-school (age 4-5), middle and high school students (age 11-18), and also adults. I accept students of all ages and my approach is based off the Vivaldi Method combined with elements of the Suzuki. I work with students step-by-step on technique and music together in order to build a natural and aware way of playing that is suited to the individual’s anatomy and joy of playing the violin.

It doesn't matter if you are a complete beginner or not, from the very first lesson I will provide you the possibility of enjoying playing music together with me. Instead of just playing alone on the lessons, throughout pieces for two violin with the teacher's involvement (me) you can learn several musical and technical aspects of this beautiful instrument :) . I am offering lessons for all ages and level as I have various experiences. Also if you are an adult (complete beginner/restarter) don't hesitate to contact me as my motto is: never too late to start to play the violin.

When teaching viola, my main goal is to make sure the student has fun and I try to cater as much as possible to their wants and needs. I incorporate music theory and history into the lessons to create a thorough understanding of the music. I am specified in classical music, but am open to experimenting with the student in other genres.
Students of all levels are welcome!
Lessons can be in English or Dutch.

I give violin lessons (also viola) for children and adults. During the first lesson we will first get acquainted and I will explain about the posture and we will first make sound. It is important to first learn the basics well (rhythm, reading notes, posture and more), I always give nice songs and if students prefer to learn to play something that is always allowed. If the student can already play then we look together for the repertoire.
It is also important to practice regularly, you don't have to do much, 10 minutes a day works fine as long as it is regular.
I play more classical music myself, but I can of course also play modern well-known songs.
