There are exactly 5 master keys to wake the dancer in us. Because yes, we all have one, but we have to understand how to activate it.
These 5 keys are:
- Musicality: your ability to hear and understand the different sounds that make up music. The degree of awareness of the music you hear right now.
- Imagination: When you hear correctly, you can associate each sound with an action or situation that sounds like you think
- Expression: you express what you imagine in the real world with movements.
- Technique: once your movements out, you refine them, make them more beautiful, you perfect them.
The last key is secret because you say it right now would not serve you (on the contrary it will confuse you) and it is something you will discover for yourself, if you have mastered the first 4 keys.
What do you notice? ...
The technique is last! Many students, teachers, even dancers are mistaken and learn / teach "steps" or body movements first ... So that should be last. When you reverse the order, you end up with "steps" or a technique that does not advance you that much because you do not know when to execute it and so you are not yet well free to do what you want to do.
