I’m a young student and I prefer students who are not over active and are willing to learn. I’m a flexible teacher who has patience and will not give up easily.

Education

Currently doing 3 A levels just finished GCSE curriculum. Doing a level sociology, geography and business which are essay based subject's and need a good English GCSE in order to qualify.

I specialize in tutoring French and English up to Key Stage 5. I am also able to teach English as a Foreign Language. A previous Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle student, I am bilingual in English and in French and can therefore offer classes in English to all ages, including GCSE students as I did the international Option of the baccalauréat (OIB). Moreover, I can offer classes in French too as I am as fluent in both languages.

7/8/11/13+ English comprehension and composition, Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning
Common Entrance tutor with over 20 years tutoring experience and 100% successful entrance into London's leading independent schools the likes of St Paul's and Westminster.

In this course, you will learn a range of linguistic methods and learn the terms used for describing a specific aspect of language or phenomenon (lexis, morphemes, and 'telegraphic stage' to give a few examples). The course requires you to explore your own data using quantitative and qualitative analysis (eg: how frequently are slang phrases used? Are there new auxiliaries being created?). No historical linguistics or literature is involved, but language change or specific traits will be sampled via your own data collection (if this is what is demanded in your course).

As many students need to present a "year abroad" dissertation at University level (3rd year in the UK of a Modern Languages or Linguistics Undergraduate course) I can help you to research and structure your year abroad work, both in English (Linguistics) and Romance languages (French, Italian, Spanish). The topics that have arisen from recent discussions with students relate to French Caribbean writing, Italian resistance and reprisals in Rome (Fosse Ardiatine), and Spanish Etica franquista in films (among others).

LNAT exam preparation - I am a highly experienced LNAT tutor, having logged 120+ hours of teaching the exam (as well as sitting it myself and obtaining 28/42, 16% higher than the cohort average). I have helped students gain admission to the University of Bristol, King's College London and Oxford University via LNAT tuition, with my tutees achieving scores as high as 31/42.

I am fluent in French Spanish and English having done all 3 at a high university standard I am confident in my ability to prepare students for a GCSE or A-level. No matter the students level I’m a hard-working and commuted tutor and guarantee bumping up a student’s grade to a desired level.

I love my tutoring role because I get to help students achieve their academic goals.
