Hi! My name is Maria and I am here to guide you through piano music world 🥰. Whether you are just a completely beginner, or have a bit of knowledge in music, or you want to master your piano skills, I am very excited to help you to achieve your goals. I teach in Central and South London.

About me: I am a professional pianist with Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Piano Performance. I worked at the Royal Academy of Music.
15 years of piano teaching experience with students of different ages.
During the lessons, I focus both on piano technique and artistic expressiveness. An individual teaching approach to every student. A possibility to choose piano pieces the students wish to study. Music pieces by various composers and different music genres. Preparation for ABRSM exams. Theory lessons are applied as well.

My professional path as piano soloist performer, accompanist and pianist in chamber music ensembles embraces experience in practicing piano with vast piano repertoire of academic music of most outstanding composers.

Working in different Music Institutions as a teacher or accompanist inspired me enormous and helped me understand that teaching is my passion. One of my conclusions was that besides piano playing one must be prepared to become a student mentor, motivator and give them inspiration.

I am Ida, a creative and passionate musician, and music educator. Counting 20 years in artistic practice and having 7+ years of experience in teaching singing, piano and music theory, I offer you music theory lessons of the highest standard.

I specialise in teaching guitar for all levels. Beginners are very welcome. My main aim is to get the students to enjoy playing and from there we can start to get deeper into theory, composition, improvisation and song writing. I also specialise in Brazilian guitar if that is anyone's passion.

I am a vastly experienced violinist and composer with a Masters Degree from the prestigious Lucerne Hochschule - Musik in Switzerland and Postgraduate Degree from Trinity Laban in London. I'm a very dedicated teacher, who loves to work with students from all age groups and levels of experience - one of the joys of teaching for me has been to help others find their own potential through consistent work.

I structure the class around three different aspects:
* addressing technical issues - intonation, bow technique and sound quality, posture
* music making - learning about the style of each composer/of each piece, developing repertoire
* interpretation - understanding harmony, finding an emotional connection with each of the pieces
As part of the weekly-lessons, I provide you with exercises and tools to be able to follow-up on the above. We will work together towards reaching your goals and potential, whilst maintaining a balance between the joy of music-making and achieving a high quality.

Saxophone Lessons are extremely fun! The Saxophone is a great and enjoyable instrument to play. It is powerful yet soothing; beautiful sounding and relaxing instrument to enjoy. I recently graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, moved to London and now want to share my knowledge and passion about saxophone with others!

(If you are a beginner) You will be introduced to the fundamentals of saxophone playing, note-reading and improvisation, and develop these skills as the course progresses.

What will we cover?
- Developing playing techniques: embouchure, breath control and tonguing
- Learning to play a selection of notes on the saxophone
- Studying relevant music theory and reading music for saxophone

- learning to listen and count time as you play
- Developing practice methods: long notes, scales, studies
- A range of repertoire in popular styles
- Simple improvisation.

What will I achieve?
- Demonstrate the ability to play and read a range of pieces for the saxophone

My musical learning was also furthered by postgraduate musicological studies at Royal Holloway and serious interests in philosophy, religions, history, civilization, literature, poetry, law, languages as well as many other things. I loved my musical journey which included not only piano but also composition, the violin, recorder, flute, harpsichord and clavichord from childhood onwards. In the last two decades, teaching has been giving meaning to my life and I enjoy helping others to find fulfillment as well as joy in their learning.

My teaching approach is comprehensive, builds up confidence and incorporates a multidisciplinary orientation thanks to which students get promptly enthused over their learning.
