About Me

When it comes to to cooking, I make use of a methodology of teaching that combines theoretical foundations and experiential learning. I first give an overview of the essential technique in a particular class and then start applying that knowledge in the kitchen.

Education

Msc in Organisational Innovations and Entrepreneurship - 2 years spent learning more about the experience economy and how to deliver optimal results. This also contributed to my understanding of the customer and their needs.

Experience / Qualifications

My time in the kitchen started as a chef in meditation centers in Sweden and Italy. Thereafter I started organizing Dinner Club happenings, culinary workshops, and fine catering. A highlight of my work is catering for the Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2018 where I learned how to present excellent quality under the scrutiny of a demanding public.

Even though I have known how to cook basic foods for years now thanks to my late mother and elder sister; the kitchen has become my favourite part of my home. Since the start of lockdown, I spent a lot more time in the kitchen and got into the habit of trying new recipes. One thing about me is that as much as I can be attracted to the recipes I come across on TikTok, YouTube, in a cookbook or from my news updates; I will only use what I know I can afford and what I have available to me in the pantry or fridge. I love making different sandwiches (normal or grilled) with brown bread or whole wheat bread only; pasta dishes like lasagna, mac/ spaghetti & mince; dumpling made from store-bought dough and beef shin or chuck; any quick and easy meals that can be made from chicken breast fillets; salad dressings; and even smoothies! For those (like myself) who have a sweet tooth, I have recently gotten into baking a little bit here and there, and I also love a good trifle, pancake or sponge cake. As I have mentioned, the idea is to keep the meals simple if you want a quick lunch, dinner or breakfast idea for yourself or several people. You will get the chance to see just how so much can be made from a chicken breast fillet to an egg or two!
