According to the student’s level, I will provide both online or in person lessons on Italian vocabulary, grammar and, where appropriate, on some issues and topics in Italian culture and literature. We will focus on listening, reading, writing and speaking and we will prioritize one of these competences according to the student’s necessities.

I have previously studied at Classical Lyceum of Venice, with a major in Classics (Latin and Greek language and literature) and Italian literature. I am currently studying Music at King’s College University of London.

My three main areas of expertise (not necessarily in this order):

- Chess: I teach chess to beginners and intermediate players up to ELO 1800 or ECF 1700, working on the tactical and strategic aspects of openings, middle games and endgames.. "chess is life in miniature"!

- Fitness / Running / Triathlon: I coach people who want to get fitter and generally incorporate any endurance activity into a health(ier) lifestyle. I am a dedicated coach who has competed in several marathons and Ironman races (also qualified for the Ironman World Championship). I focus on nutrition, stress and sleep as well for a holistic approach.

- Languages: I specialize in tutoring Italian and Spanish; my style is to keep students challenged and motivated through simple classes and practical exercises (pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary).. I'm a demanding teacher but will guide you in a fun and interactive way.

Through my experience as a secondary school teacher, I have come to realise that the acquirement of a language goes
beyond just having another skill.

Languages give students an opportunity to understand another culture and build respect and awareness as an individual. Equally, being an individual who enjoys immersing themselves in other cultures, I believe it is extremely beneficial to make use of out of classroom learning experiences, especially in language learning.

I look at creating engaging and interactive lessons in which students are consistently exposed to the spoken language to promote their confidence and create a safe environment in which they can explore the language without fear. On the other hand, as an individual who grew up bilingual, I feel that the inclusion of students whom English is not their first language is extremely important.
