Advanced private studies in jazz composition, improvisation, arranging, and related musical practicesTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I offer advanced private studies in jazz composition, improvisation, arranging, and related musical practices for dedicated musicians, composers, and advanced students. My teaching draws equally from long-term professional experience as a performer, composer, and producer, as well as formal studies with Kálmán Oláh and Béla Faragó at the Liszt Academy in Budapest, and with Darcy James Argue and Chris Zuar at the Manhattan School of Music in New York. Alongside over two decades of touring, recording, and ensemble work, I have also maintained a long-standing teaching practice focused on helping musicians develop a deeper understanding of musical language, form, rhythm, orchestration, and artistic individuality. While rooted in jazz, my approach is open to contemporary hybrid practices, including groove-based music production and acoustic-electronic environments when relevant to the student’s interests. Lessons are primarily aimed at advanced students, semi-professional and professional musicians, composers, and international students based in Budapest who are looking for a more individual and experience-based approach to contemporary jazz and composition studies. Jazz composition and form, orchestration, voicings, unifying elements Contemporary jazz arranging and orchestration Improvisation and rhythmic language Harmonic concepts and ear training Ensemble writing and score preparation Personal artistic development Hybrid acoustic-electronic workflows

As a beginner, I enjoy my classes a lot with Geza. He gives you the feeling that if you keep learning from him you will improve very well. That’s partly because he is very knowledgeable, experienced and partly because have so much patience with hist students. You can communicate with him very well and he has his own system tailored by what you want in music and how much you improve. I think if that’s what you are looking for in an instructor, Geza is the right man.

She is very patient and has an incredibly approachable character. Always makes sure that I understand the materials & has a reviews at the beginning of a new class. I also appreciate very much that she is punctual and focused during the lesson. We had 3 classes so far (would love to continue if her time allows), and thanks to her, I have developed even more interest to advance in classical music! ^_^

Very nice teacher :) Lessons are interesting and funny. She has a lot of experience, which is immediately evident. I recommend to everyone study with Eszter and personally I will continue to work with her.
