I am a professional London based drummer, music teacher and music producer with over 25 years of teaching and performing experience including international tours, recording work in Abbey Rd and Shepparton Studios and numerous television and radio performances.

I teach all styles including rock, jazz, funk, latin, metal (inc double pedal technique) and reggae.

I have also taught to all levels including complete beginners and all ages upwards from 4.

When you learn with me you will learn the proper and correct methods and techniques as used by the best drummers in the world- all in a friendly and professional environment!

I also teach music theory to GCSE level, piano/keys to intermediate/advanced level and I now offer lessons in music production/technology.

A little bit more about myself...

I have recorded in top studios including Abbey Rd and Shepperton as well as performing for television and radio on numerous occasions

I have over 25 years experience teaching drums to all ages from beginners to advanced/pro/signed artist level as well as music theory and beginner/intermediate keys. I now offer lessons in music production/technology as well.

Other notable experience of mine includes presenting a televised workshop on jazz music for primary school children for the TEN network Australia (Kids Company 1991) and I have also played drums on TV commercials including one for Snickers in 2015 that was filmed in Shepperton Studios and shown in the USA and South America.

I record and produce for both independent artists and labels from my studio in Central London.

I'm a qualified piano teacher with over 7 years of experience. I provide easy to follow and joyful lessons for beginners and advanced students. I have experience in ABRSM exams and I'm happy to prepare you. I am applying the Russian piano technique, as I myself have been taught by my Russian teacher who studied at the Tchaikovsky conservatoire.
I understand that not everyone enjoys strict teaching, thus I am flexible enough and can adapt according to my student's needs!

I'm also here for you to teach you how to play the piano and enjoy your music! If you're not into classical music, I can also teach you how to play pop/rock covers and soundtracks

P.S. I normally live in London and can travel to student's houses. However, due to the current CoVid-19 situation, I can only provide online lessons until further notice.

I have instructed students of different age groups in saxophone performance and music theory (including counterpoint, harmony and composition) up until university level, in Spain and the UK. After graduating from Cambridge with a double starred first, taking into consideration my academic results and teaching experience, I have also been selected for inclusion in the Supervisor Registry to teach counterpoint and harmony papers. My approach to lessons is very flexible, and I always try to adapt to the needs and qualities of each student. I believe that communication is essential, and at the beginning of each lesson I ask my students if they found my recommendations from the previous lesson helpful and how they see their progress. After this spoken introduction, we proceed to work on some warm-up and technical exercises. Then, we play some studies and pieces, or go over some music theory exercises, trying to apply the advice from the previous lesson and make further improvements. Finally, we conclude the lesson with a summary, listing the main key points and suggestions and comparing our experience to the previous lessons, trying to find a clear sense of progression and a coherent line of work towards a certain goal. This teleological mindset occupies a central position in my methodology, and I always encourage my students to look ahead and plan a series of stimulating events or challenges to look foward to, such as a concert, a recital, a presentation or an exam.

I have been performing throughout the UK and abroad since the age of 12. I began my education at the Royal Academy of Music and continued at the Royal College of Music in London gaining 3 performance degrees with first class honours. You will learn about technique (hands and feet), as well as styles (Pop, Rock, Blues, Funk, Soul, Jazz, Electronic, etc.), reading and transcription, time keeping, etc. The lesson will be entirely based on the student's needs and I will adapt the content based on those.

Two keywords form the base of the singing technique I teach: relaxation and engagement. Inspired by the Alexander technique, we need the body to be completely free from any muscle tension before and after producing a sound. Then, to create a sound of quality, the body also needs to be engaged and free. By releasing all the unnecessary tension, you will be able to sing all the arias of your dreams. I will give some weekly exercises in singing and music theory and we will correct them together during the lesson.
I was part of the choir of the French public radio broadcaster for 7 years. I have a diploma in Music theory from the CRR of Boulogne-Billancourt. I even have a degree in Pop music and I am currently finishing my Master's in musical theatre and composition.

I was a classical piano student at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester for 7 years and continued to study music for a year in Paris. I achieved a distinction at grade 8 ABRSM piano (the highest grade available), with 1 year of experience tutoring piano for a child who was 9 years old.
