Cello classes, musical language and initiation.

I'm Alfredo, I graduated from the Electric Bass Jazz and Modern Music performance course at the Conservatori Superior del Liceu and later graduated from the Master's in Jazz Performance at Codarts University of the Arts. My methodology is based on adapting the content of the class and the way of teaching it to the needs and learning process of the student. The most efficient way to learn music is through motivation and for this reason I place great emphasis on the idea of working on the music that the student listens to. No matter what genre of music we work on, any type of music can make you improve in all aspects. During the classes I try to cover the following points: - Technique and knowledge of the instrument. - Perception and rhythmic execution. - Theory applied to composition and improvisation. - Development of the melodic and harmonic ear. For students who are just starting out, I emphasize the idea of learning from the experience of playing and understanding the instrument and I let the theoretical part appear naturally once there is already a certain connection with the instrument.

Lessen ook beschikbaar in het Nederlands! In my classes I always seek to maintain a balance between the development of basic knowledge, composition techniques and creativity. These are the three fundamental pillars that any person dedicated to composition needs. Basic knowledge: Many are afraid of learning "too much" theory, because they believe that it can kill creativity. But what I precisely want to teach in my classes is a practical approach, where theoretical knowledge serves to further develop creativity. Composition techniques: Each class I give small composition tasks, things that can be developed in the time you have available between classes, where we will explore different composition techniques and how they can be applied within the musical language that you want to develop. Creativity: We work here in two ways, the first is on a project you are working on, for example a piece for your own instrument, a project for a competition or entrance exam, a song, etc. The second way is through improvisation exercises on your instrument. We will do this together, since I play violin and piano. With this we are seeing how to give space to musical intuition, to be able to capture ideas and then concretize them in a composition. These three elements are present in each class, which is usually divided into 20-minute sections, so a lesson usually lasts 1 hour.

The cello is a precious instrument, they say the closest and closest to the human voice. Would you like to learn to play it? You already know but would like to delve deeper? I have a degree from the Liceu's Higher Conservatory of Music, with a Master in Interpretation and finishing another, Master in Chamber Music. With a long career and experience as a teacher and concert performer (ten years of experience), I offer individualized classes, with different methods depending on the objective of each student. My students are from children and adults without prior knowledge to those who want to prepare tests (we can also include musical language in your classes!). We will work with the objective of each student in mind to achieve it.

I structure the class in a personalized way for each of the participants; adapted to your level, your motivation, and the speed of learning. We review diverse material that allows to strengthen the knowledge acquired in each class, and that allows to develop the creativity of the participant. All in a fun-filled educational setting.

Thanks to my experience as a teacher in a professional center such as the Santander Professional Conservatory of Music, where I have had the opportunity to work with students of all ages, since I have been lucky enough to work with numerous teachers who have given me different points of view to face the development of the interpretive technique of the transverse flute, I have extensive experience and numerous tools to help solve the difficulties of the students when playing. I currently combine my acting career with my second master's degree in acting at the Barcelona Conservatory of Music with Professor Vicens Prats. I have extensive experience as a teacher at the Santander Professional Music Conservatory "Ataulfo Argenta". As a performer, I have the opportunity to collaborate with numerous orchestras, such as the Basque Country Orchestra (OSE) or the Valles Symphony Orchestra (OSV). These experiences and many others allow me to face the classes from a professional point of view while, by continuing to be a student, I can understand more closely the difficulties that students may encounter when playing the transverse flute.

A young and enthusiastic tutor who has more than 15 years of experience in musical performance, who is constantly developing her skills and learning new instruments (currently, violin and guitar :). I come from Ukraine and have a diploma from a completed 8-year piano, music theory and choir degree from Russian and Ukrainian musical academies. I am very proud of the educational background I have since my teachers had always been very strict yet fair with their ways of teaching, which gave me a strong base as a musician, and, later on, as a tutor. Moreover, I have studied psychology here in Spain for 3 years at a university, so I get on well with many different personalities and know how to approach stressful situations. I must mention that I am passionate about spending my time with kids and sharing the skills and experience I have with people. I speak Spanish, but offer classes in English, so my students can also practice their English while in the class. Of course, if the student prefers to keep it in Spanish, it is not a problem for me. I am happy to help beginners with meeting piano for the first time, as well as tutoring students with some experience to help them with practising at home, pointing out the most crucial areas of improvement in order to reach the best result possible. The piano is an orchestra in one instrument! Learning to play this instrument provides the basis for composition, learning harmony and developing musical skill. Age does not matter - I teach beginners to advanced players. My approach is artistic and creative, meaning there is a focus on the strengthening of individual expression and abilities while learning the basics of music, how to play and perform , as well as how to compose. Music theory is integrated into practical lessons so that an overall knowledge of music is achieved no matter what we study! At the same time I offer theory lessons on its own for those interested. Students have the option of playing and learning for enjoyment/personal progress or passing piano and theory exams (Trinity, ABRSM).

I am a professional cellist, with higher studies in Germany and Belgium, and with experience both on stage and in teaching for all levels and ages. For me, the most important thing is that the student can learn to play the instrument while enjoying making music. I can adapt to the needs of each student and what is best for their evolution with the instrument.
