This class focuses on the main aspects of classical guitar performance and education and will be adapted regarding the student's own knowledge, skills, and ambitions -knowledge of the fretboard -music reading; -music interpretation; -body and hand posture; -left and right-hand technique exercises; -memory exercises for playing by heart; -guidance in the organizing of the student's practice schedule; -preparation for admission exams in music schools (ex. Sweelinck Academy) and Music Conservatories; -preparation for classical guitar competitions and recitals.

I want to help people find inspiration to play the music they love. My course will be tailor made for the student so that practicing and learning happens naturally. I focus on learning the instrument, as well as composing and discovering new music. I have been playing Guitar for over 15 years, and have been associated with various musical groups, including in a professional band setting. Currently living in Amsterdam, I want to share the my musical experience with aspiring students!

In other words: what YOU like! I sincerely believe that the most effective way to learn music is to delve into what you love and explore it with passion and dedication. We will always start from the songs you like, step by step, following your workflow. My goal is simply to give you the best tips and tricks so that you can enjoy playing the songs you love or, if you wish, organize your guitar practice in the most efficient way. MOST IMPORTANT: I love to jam so be prepare to play some music :-). Together we will tackle various topics, we can also focus on: - Learn a song and be able to do it by yourself later. - Explore different musical styles: Pop, Rock, Blues, Funk, Jazz... - Guitar techniques using scales, triads and arpeggios. - Understand harmony and how to build chords. - Use your ear as a tool to find new ideas. - Being able to provide a nice and steady groove by studying rhythmic figures. - Immerse yourself in the beautiful world of improvisation. - Develop your intuition and your creativity as an improviser and apply it to the material you already know. !!!Only for the brave: we could also do a little music theory -> If you want!!! Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. Folk or classical acoustic guitar. The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.
