Practical, structured piano lessons for children, teenagers and adults — from first notes to advanced repertoire.

We’ll work on:

healthy technique, sound and musical phrasing

reading skills (sight-reading), rhythm and coordination

music theory and ear training (as needed)

efficient practice habits and clear weekly goals

exam preparation (ABRSM / Trinity), auditions and performance confidence

Lessons can be classical-focused, mixed-style, or aimed at specific short-term goals (a piece, an exam, an audition, a recital). I can also help with collaboration skills for singers/instrumentalists and accompaniment preparation.

Please have access to an acoustic piano or a full-size weighted keyboard.
Bring a notebook (or notes app) for practice goals.

I’m a professional pianist and piano teacher with around 10 years of teaching experience, and I also work in opera/stage directing and acting. That background shapes how I teach: we don’t just “learn notes” — we build an artist.

In my lessons, sound and technique matter, but so does presence: musical intention, timing, character, style, and the ability to communicate something to a listener. Even if you’re a beginner, you’ll learn how to play with meaning, not on autopilot.

ABRSM/Trinity preparation (programme + musical understanding, not just “pass the exam”)

I teach children, teenagers and adults, from complete beginners to advanced players. Some students want long-term progress; others come with a specific goal (exam, audition, a piece, returning after a break). I adapt to how you learn, and I’ll be direct when it helps you move forward.

Hello and welcome to my music studio! It is absolutely fabulous that you are interested in music, and I hope you have lots and lots of fun with it! However, diving into the wonders of the piano/keyboard can be a bit overwhelming... and that is where I come in!
This course is for anyone from complete beginners to advanced students, from lessons that focus completely on classical music to lessons that include or focus on the basics of jazz/pop. If you like to sing, we can also work on the basics of jazz/pop vocal, so you can learn to accompany yourself at the piano.
In our lessons, technique will be an inherent part of the training, as well as analysis, basic music theory, and efficient ways of practicing music. If that all sounds good to you, then please reach out to me and we can start ASAP!
Lessons can be in English or Dutch.

So who am I?
In a nutshell, I am a professional pianist, vocalist, lyricist and blogger. Since 2014, I have taught in various music schools, teaching piano, ensemble, jazz vocal, and solfege.
On a more elaborate note, I obtained my Master of Arts in classical piano, summa cum laude, at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent (KASK) in 2017, and studied as a Fulbrighter at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington USA during the 2019-2020 academic year.
Every day, I strive to become a better musician and person, and I aim to transfer that passion to my students.
