Cours au domicile de l'élève :
  • Autour de Tokyo, Japon
Présentation
Hello everyone!

My name is Don from Toronto, Canada and I am 24 years old. I am a kindergarten teacher at an international school who has arrived at Tokyo last year to teach English and explore this beautiful country.

I love to teach English as it has proved to be very helpful when travelling and also fun to communicate. I am very happy here in Tokyo, every day discovering new places and things to do. Japan is an amazing country and I am fond of Japanese people.

I offer fun conversation classes for English. The duration could be 60, 90 or 120 minutes, is up to you. We can arrange to meet in a bar/cafeteria or in my place.

I live in Kita-ku, near Akabane Station (JR Saikyo Line) and work near Ikebukuro Station, but we can arrange to meet in a convenient place for both of us.

My hobbies are basketball, reading, traveling, and listening to hip hop music.

I am excited to meet you. Do not hesitate to contact me!
Education
Ryerson University: Bachelor's in Engineering
My schooling can contribute to the work of a JET Assistant Language Teacher. The demanding engineering course load has helped me optimize my time management skills by balancing school and work. I have become an effective leader and strong communicator thanks to multiple group projects. Having been hired as a Project Manager for an introductory engineering course in Ryerson University, I lead the class, review students’ projects, and advise them on career/university inquiries. Being a fourth year student, I am viewed as a peer mentor, rather than just an authority figure. To successfully adapt the course material to best assist the students according to their learning styles has proved to be the most challenging and rewarding part of the job. The tailored lessons have resulted in a display of higher interests and performance. A position of guidance motivates me to help the students better understand an engineer’s impact in society while making a positive influence on their academic outcome.
