I'll show you the necessary steps you need to follow in order to play that crazy rhythm you have in mind and, please don't forget: "HAVE FUN" is mandatory! You'll learn how to move your limbs to play a nice drum groove, you'll discover the rudiments on the snare-drum which later you will start apply to the drumset. You will learn to recognize which instruments in the drumset makes you fall in love for the drum beat of your favorite tune. Also you will learn how to read rhythm and a drum score! Have you played for a while and you would like to improve your skills and to learn new rhythms?
Good!I'll do my best to help you improving your actual skills. Together, we'll look at the diverse hand and foot techniques exist as tools to improve our own sound on the drumset. Remember that it's not about speed, but awareness of our gestures and how these can influence the sound we won't project through this marvellous instrument. Have you ever heard of "Finger Control", Moeller Technique", "Push and Pulll", "Heel-Toe Technique"?
Probably your tired of the usual 4/4 rock drum beat and you would like to learn more spicy drum grooves...well I can show you very nice drum beat influenced by latin music. You could find very fun and interesting excercies for improving your coordination while learing intriguing drum beats!But also...you are a fan of progressive music but you're having troubles playing that weird odd-meter...I'll show you how simple and easy can be to play that 5/8!

Do you have a solid rhythmic fundation and you want to get in touch with Jazz or Latin music?
Learning a language, especially if you are not a mother-tongue, is very hard. Generally I believe that to learn how to express yourself through your instrument is a life-long learning process. For this reason don't worry and keep having fun every day!I've left the harbour for this journey some years ago and I still see the line of the horizon very far...Why don't you get on my boat?
I can show you the first steps you need to take for applying your technical skills and coordination in these styles. We can listening to recordings and to check how the drummer accompanies his band mates, how he expresses his solo ideas. We can transcribe comping ideas, solo ideas, and of course I'll show the approach I use to learn and to digest this information to make it mine. I'm really looking forward to your questions and to discover new recordings with you!

I’m sure in that moment you wished you could do that on a real drum set!Are you ready to learn that rhythm and to play it with your friends?You could be the next drummer on stage!

Hey...are you thinking you are to old for this?Absolutely not!Music doesn’t have boundaries and it’s never too late to start drumming!

In case you want to know a bit more of my musical background…

Actually I’m performing as a drummer in the National Jazz Jeugd Orkest for the project “NJJO Goes Mambo featuring Maite Hontele” under the artisitc direction and conduction of the Dutch Trumpetist Maite Hontele. In the last two years I’ve been focusing on Latin music, especially Afro-Cuban music, with a major concern towards Latin Jazz and Salsa. In the last two years I had the chances to perform with diverse ensembles in different dutch festivals and venues such as North Sea Jazz Festival, Dias Latinos, Bimhuis, LantarenVenster, De Doelen, Theater Zuid-Plein, Ground and New Ground.
During my whole academic career in Italy, Poland and Belgium I had the opportunity to perform wether in Jazz ensembles wether in Classical-Contemporary Percussion ensembles but since 2018 I’ve been focusing more on drums, especially in Jazz and Latin music. Certainly I cannot regret my musical adolescence which was truly inspired by diverse drummers from Rock, Pop-Punk Rock and Heavy Metal genres.

Education

Since I was a little kid I’ve shown my passion towards the colorful worlds of percussion playing my mom’s pans and pots in the kitchen. I was very lucky to have a real drum set in my father studio, so that every weekend he used to bring me there to play. At the age of seven years old I started taking lessons in the music school of my home town and after some years, at the age of 15 I was admitted at the “Conservatorium G.P. da Palestrina in Cagliari” to study classical percussions. I could start my musical academic career quite soon, so that at the age of 19 I started the Bachelor program in Jazz Drums while I was concluding the Master program in classical percussions. From October 2016 till June 2017 I had the chance to study classical and contemporary percussions at the Music Academy in Krakow (Poland). This was my first life and musical experience abroad, which opened up my mind and changed my perspectives. On October 2017 I concluded the Master program in classical percussions with the mark of 10/10. Almost towards the end of the Bachelor in Jazz Drums I left my home town for following as an exchange student the “Royal Conservatory in Ghent” (Flanders, Belgium) between September 2018 and June 2019. After graduating from the Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Drums with 110/110 cum laude at the “Conservatorium G.P. da Palestrina in Cagliari” I started a Master program in Music and Performance as jazz drummer in Ghent. Hence between September 2019 and June 2021 I’ve been a student of the “Royal Conservatory in Ghent”.
Because of my passion for the Afro-Cuban music, especially Cuban Jazz and Latin Jazz, in April 2021 I decided to apply for a Master program in Latin Music at CODARTS Rotterdam. In September 2021 I obtained the Master Degree’s in Music and Performance as a Jazz drummer at the “Royal Conservatory in Ghent” with Great Distinction and at the same time I moved to Rotterdam for beginning the Master Program at CODARTS. A few months ago, July 2023, I obtained the Master Degree in Arts of Music as Latin Drummer and Percussionist at CODARTS Rotterdam.

With 20 years of experience as a guitar teacher and as a professional musician, I like to pass on my passion for the guitar to others.
I teach at all levels; from beginners to advanced, and specialize in jazz, flamenco, classical, bossa nova, rock, funk and metal.
On the basis of the level of the student I make a program that suits them, including learning songs with chords, playing riffs, rhythm theory, speed, improvisation, specific techniques, transcription of solos.

I am a French historical and modern horn player based in The Hague. I have played the Horn since I was 4 years old and I have two Master's degrees in modern horn and natural horn. I offer you lessons on modern and historical instruments, as well as music theory.

I work with all ages, all levels, and all objectives, and I can even work with other brass. If you want to discover the instrument or perfect it, if you need theory support or practice help, I will adapt my methods to your needs to offer you quality musical time!

I have taught children and adults since 2017, and I truly love leading people their way to enjoyable, musical, and informed brass playing.

SPECIALISED IN TEACHING ADULTS.
Would you like to learn one of the instruments which have more style possibilities? Would you like to know why many composers say that is a very powerful instrument because it fits in may situations? Did you know that in the Klezmer history clarinet substituted the violin for projection reasons but also because perfectly able to imitate the human voice, crying or laughing? Would you like to discover the fascinating world of clarinet?

One of my priorities as a musician is the sound. I believe that with a beautiful and personal sound you are able at every level to transmit emotion and meaning, it doesn’t matter the difficulty or the level. So I try to focus first on awareness of what’s beautiful for the student and what’s not. Then through technique and repertoire (suggestions of the student or suggestions of mine that can help to grow the student curiosity), we develop the student knowledge.

Always helping the student to understand -depending on his/her the theoretical level- what we are doing, putting together music and theory. And giving tools to expand the border, at all levels. I have knowledge and experience in Jazz, Classical, Klezmer, Choro Music and Improvisation.
You just need a precious element!

• Music Theory
I focus on having a good basics, spending as much as we need to understand every single thing, because then with times it becomes more easy. I try to help the student simplifying the material because then, we only with ourselves with a good procedure of the basics to solve any problem. Only with one lesson, you will understand what I mean.

I have experience in preparing students for exams, the ones for the semester as well as any official exam; doesn't matter if you have an intermediate theory level and you want to improve, or if you would like to be stronger solidifying the knowledge you have (which is always the best option), or if you don’t know anything about notes and music concepts and you would like to be familiar with them. Maybe you are an adult who always wanted to improvise but doesn’t know where to start...?
The only thing you need is a good organization -which I can provide- to reach any goal!

Japanese professional pianist, conductor and composer, graduated at Conservatoire du Paris, Tokyo University of Arts and Fontys, I give music lessons according to the needs (including the place of the lesson) of each student.
I have been teacher at Conservatoire de Paris (CNSM) for 8 years. Currently I work sometimes at Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag.

I am an American harpist holding degrees in harp from the University of North Carolina, the National Conservatory of France in Lyon, and currently studying at the Koninklijk Conservatorium den Haag. I am happy to teach students of any age and skill level in the Hague area, either at my home or yours! Trombone lessons
Learning to master the trombone is no easy task. It is an infinitely variable instrument, it has no valves or valves, which means that the hearing in particular must be well trained. Solfège is an important part of my lessons. If you can sing something, you can also play it, is my vision. Besides trombone lessons I also give trumpet lessons for beginners. Even then I use the ear training method.

At music schools I teach according to the AMV principle. With that you can get your diplomas, A to D. The latter is, as it were, the audition for the conservatory.

In my studio in Krimpen aan de Lek, near Rotterdam, I give music lessons according to your needs. That can be technical mastery, or being able to recite an étude or concert beautifully. But also learning to play over a chord scheme, improvising, being able to play freely.

I can come to you if you live, for example, in Capelle aan den IJssel, in Dordrecht or Rotterdam.

COVID-19 update 2021: Due to the corona crisis, I am currently also teaching online via Skype. However, my studio is so large that the 1.5 meters can be maintained at the 1 on 1 classes. In addition, there is a screen between the student and myself

Hi! I am Elsa, I am 24 and I come from France. I am currently doing a jazz master at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, after obtaining my classical bachelor at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague.
I have been playing cello for 19 years. Over the years I played in various settings: chamber music (small ensembles like trios, quartet), bands (new music), solo and orchestras such as the Nationaal Jeugdorkest and Jong Metropole (national youth jazz orchestra).
I love to play classical music but also some jazz, funk or pop! I like to play with people, create music together, improvise... And I hope this is something I can also pass on to my students!

Bonjour! Je m'appelle Elsa, je suis française, j'ai 24 ans et je suis actuellement en master de jazz au Conservatorium van Amsterdam après avoir obtenu un bachelor classique au Conservatoire Royal de La Haye.
Ca fait 19 ans que je joue du violoncelle. Au fil des années j'ai joué dans beaucoup de contextes différents: musique de chambre, groupes, solo et orchestre (notament NJO et Jong Metropole).

Hi !

I am Héloïse, a french cellist and singer who lives in The Netherlands since two years. I finished to study at HKU Utrecht Conservatorium in june and am now a professional musician and, among other a cello teacher at the Lindenberg Center in Nijmegen.

Hi! I'm a French violinist currently in my 4th year of a classical violin Bachelor at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague, and I hold a DEM (Diplôme d'Études Musicales) from the CRR de Paris (Regional Paris conservatory) where I studied with Florin Szigeti.
I’ve had the opportunity to participate in masterclasses with Josef Spacek, Pavel Vernikov, Olivier Charlier, Igor Volochine, Marianne Piketty, and I love sharing everything I’ve learned from them through my own teaching.

I have experience with Orchestra and chamber music as well. I had the pleasure of participating in a side by side project with the Orchestre Philarmonique de Radio France and play in various prestigious settings.

I specialize in teaching piano and music when I was at conservatory where I studied for over 20 years. With 14 years of experience I found my own methods to make my students learn in a comfortable and creative environment.
