¡Hola!
My name is Carla and I'm a qualified and experienced Spanish teacher. I've been teaching Spanish as a Second Language since 2001; 7 years in UK and 14 years in A Coruña, Spain. I've taught at UK Universities, Colleges and In-Company. I teach all levels, adults and teenagers.
I am originally from Argentina, but I live and teach Spanish in Spain, therefore I can teach either "Latin American Spanish" or "Spanish from Spain".
I've been teaching online for 2 years now and I love it! I teach small groups (up to 6) or individual and tailor-made lessons. I'm also an official DELE Speaking Examiner.
My lessons are designed to fulfill the students needs. I don't believe there is one perfect method to teach, but I prefer the Communicative Method. My main objective is to help students to develop real communication skills and abilities (oral interaction and expression, listening and reading comprehension, and writing expression).
During the online lessons, I use a variety of tools to create dynamic and interactive lessons: digital whiteboard, screen sharing (to share videos, audios, digital books ), lively chat, PowerPoint presentations, personalized interactive activities, etc.
During the first lesson, we assess your Spanish level, set your real goals and objectives, and discuss a possible syllabus.

Graduated in modern French literature at the University of Paris-Sobornne, my passion for literature and finance obliged me to obtain a degree in Spanish at the Cervantes Institute and much later to obtain tenure in administrative and financial management with the aim of an internship academic at Abanca (bank in the north of Spain) and in an accounting firm.

I am passionate about education, finance. I worked in several NGOs, academies and companies as a French teacher, accountant and interpreter translator.

I have been studying and practicing foreign languages for many years.

I have lived in Spain since 2017 and started teaching French in 2020 as a native teaching assistant in local Spanish schools. After graduating with a Master's degree in teaching, I now teach French (and Spanish) to all types of learners.

I will always adjust my methods to meet the learners’ needs and/or preferences.
The speaking and pronunciation are central points of my methodology to make sure that students learn how to understand and speak like natives. I also tend to use interesting resources and bring cultural aspects in class as well as a little touch of humor.
