I am well qualified and fluent in both Spanish and English Languages, due to my condition of Cuban National and Jamaican descent. I also hold certificates in German and Russian languages. I am willing to use my professional expertise developed over a span of 30 years to help students benefit from the same and excel at their academics. Occasionally I have also taught other subjects, such as General Biology, Psychology, Social Sciences, and Communication. I am willing to accept challenging job roles, such as translation, copyediting, proofreading, as well as a Bilingual Research Assistant.
My teaching approach is the Communicative Method, supported by audiovisual materials, conversation practice, role plays, videos, songs, and other activities. I conduct both one-on-one and group tutoring lessons focusing on reading, writing and speaking, with a particular focus on everyday life vocabulary and situations. I also impart knowledge on Hispanic cultural norms and practices as an integral part of my lessons.
