I am CELTA (Cambridge English Language Teaching for Adults) certified English tutor.

I have three great passions in my life – languages, beach volleyball and travelling!

I started teaching English on a professional level four years ago, because I wanted to do something really valuable for people. Something that would help them in their lives and bring the positive change.

I really love teaching and I love seeing the progress of my learners.

During our lessons we work on:

- listening and speaking skills (we watch video material, discuss it, do the excersises and learn the social phrases);
- reading, discussion, argumentation and skills of presentation (depending on the level of the student and their interests);
- grammar (of course! :)) – focus on form and meaning + controlled practice;
- vocabulary (in interesting context);
- freer practice, using techniques of switching from focused mode to diffused mode of thinking;
- to memorise the vocabulary we use the Memory Palace technique;
- visualisation, associations and other effective mental techniques to make the progress faster and the learning process more fun!

As far as I have 20 years of business background, I am happy to provide business English classes as well.
Having bachelor degree in English Philology I help students to improve their academic English. Welcome to my academic English classes.

I am learning languages myself, so I really know what it takes to learn a new language or to work on its improvements. I am learning Spanish at the moment.
I keep the context of the lessons in the scope of my student's individual interests.
For example, if you are interested in travelling, we speak about countries, languages, history and the most interesting places to visit.

If you are interested in technologies, we discuss the latest tendencies in artificial intelligence, robotics, bio-technologies and other breaking technologies and how they are going to change the world.

We read books and make debates! :)

A qualified language coach with 25 years of experience offers intensive Dutch lessons in a small class or online.

I give many Dutch NT2 lessons to expats and in preparation for an integration exam.
Specialized in guiding for the State Exam I and II. Special exam coach.

In January 2025 I will also start with groups again. We have a great classroom in the center of Rotterdam, near metro station Beurs, lessons with small homogeneous groups (little difference in level).

We mainly go for quality and not just running a lesson. I am really involved in the progress of the student. In addition to teaching, I want to do everything to really motivate students to take the next step. That is my strength!

You can also choose the online lesson package with Whereby, Teams or Zoom in a comfortable way. Online classes are one-on-one or maximum one-on-two, for better results.

My English is fluent, as well as Portuguese and Spanish. I understand the difficulties of overcoming barriers for Latin languages and for expats in general, as I have also been an expat.

Online lessons last 75 minutes once a week for 10 weeks to reach a higher level.

This is the normal speed. Including exam training (A-2 or Staatsexamen) and exam at the end.

Intensive training ? That can also be done in five to ten full days, I am used to giving these very intensive trainings to CEOs or managers who want it faster and more intensive ... all lessons within 3 or 4 weeks. Based on the European system A-1, A-2, B-1, B-2 and C-1

As soon as students want to further improve their knowledge of Dutch, I always advise and coach them to take the State Exam I or II, the only formal Certificate in this country, recognized by employers and universities.

I will try to switch to conversation after a few lessons, to put your knowledge into practice as soon as possible. Don't get too caught up in the grammar.

Teaching is my ultimate passion and even after 25 years it feels like the first time and students always feel inspired to overcome the obstacles.

I also teach you about Dutch social culture, which is intertwined in the course and is strongly related to the language.

I am offering English lessons to students of all ages and levels as part of school, exam preparation, or just out of interest in vocabulary, grammar, and/or pronunciation. My experience has been mostly with children individually or in group lessons learning English as a second language of ages between 7 and 17. My aim is to help students establish a goal and help them along the path of reaching that goal, with clear progress milestones. I speak English at native level but I can also teach in Dutch depending on your needs. I have an English-spoken Bachelor's Degree in Politics and Law, having received an A on my International Human Rights Law thesis, a 1560/1600 on my SAT and 5/5 in AP English Language.
