How to write a top level media essay (BTEC/A-level)

Writing media essays are a skill you’ll need if you’re looking to choose media as a BTEC or if your currently doing it, media branches out into so many areas but I’d like to focus on magazine and film as they are the ones a lot of schools tend to teach

Media isn’t just all about essays and writing there’s a massize practical element to it and in this course I’d love to give you mini assignments to complete just to help your understanding about how media works and to show you what exactly you can do and how you can impact audiences, assignments can range from making a music video to creating a magazine cover, all the practical work done will then be used to support you mini media essays so you have an understanding about what exactly you need to do to get the highest grades

✅MEDIA TRAINING WORKSHOPS (TV, RADIO, WEB-TV, WEB-RADIO): TOOLS TO PERFECT YOUR CONTENT, YOUR PUBLIC SPEECH, YOUR COMMUNICATION, YOUR ANIMATION
How to prepare for a media interview? What means should be used to fight his fear of the camera and improve his image? How to present yourself and your project in front of a camera? How to present yourself and your project to the media? Targeted content according to your project: Verbal and/or gestural communication; Seduction of the lens and/or microphone; Improvisation in front of a microphone and/or camera; Voice & gaze; One or two camera games; Chronic; Animation; Reporting; Live radio & TV; Interview; Narration; Speech in all its forms (...). In short, several objectives: ◾ Confront your shyness in front of the microphone/camera. ◾ Understand his speech and diction. ◾ Tame the media environment (radio/tv). ◾ Become familiar with your image and voice. ◾ Manage your speaking time. Through exercises (diction, voice, presence, breathing, presentations, time management), role plays, simulated interviews and familiarization with their image and voice, participants evolve at their own pace within a framework flexible teaching. Please note that during the videoconference session, all the notes are transcribed gradually on the chat so that you can access them at any time when you wish. Indeed, speaking is a predominantly physical activity, which, while taking care of its image, is based on a body, a voice, a breath, a rhythm (diction) and an emotion (the imagination and the sensations ) reflecting the speaker's involvement in his speech. How to send a clear message? How to make the difference, to make an impression? Knowing how to speak, act and interact in public is almost a necessity today: your public speaking must be effective and efficient with clear, simple and impactful messages. Simple and pragmatic tools will be presented for: generating listening ● making an impression ● fostering confidence ● generating need ● motivating teams by explaining a strategy ● getting messages across within groups ● overcoming shyness by assimilating 3 CRV axes (body-breathing-voice) ● better manage disagreement or conflict. Mastered, the method allows: • to improve self-confidence and stress management with the development of the speaker's (verbal-corporal) ease, his public speaking skills and his sense of repartee and improvisation. • to work on their ease, leadership, charisma, creativity and personal development through role-playing scenarios. * to improve the characteristics of the spoken voice (timbre, pitches, intention, flow). * convey your message through your image, while gaining improvisation skills and responsiveness. Supplemented by basic exercises (diction, voice, presence, breathing, presentation, time management), role plays, improvisations and simulations. With the key word: pronunciation, diction / articulation, the sense of repartee. Painting Tutor: Discover and develop your artistic language
I am an artist and philosopher from Amsterdam currently living in Antwerp. I studied in London where I acquired a BA from Art Academy London and a BA in philosophy from St Mary's University London. Artistic development starts by identifying your artistic interest. As artists, we don’t always know why we draw and paint the things that we do. Yet they are not random. What captivates us or draws us towards certain artworks? This might be the tonal way in which light reflects, structural forms or mathematical division. The point being, is that we all have such aesthetic interests and step 1 is finding out what interests you! Step 2 is helping you express your interests through painting techniques, styles and materiality. But it all starts with you. What do you want to say? And how? I will help you do this through discussion, looking at your previous work (if you have any), introducing you to a LARGE variety of artists, potentially copying their styles. I adjust my classes according to your needs. The goal is simple: to come to understand your artistic interest, help you find techniques to express them and develop your artistic language. (Please note that just because you have found an artistic interest and a way to express it, it does not mean that you must do only one thing for the rest of your life. It is the downfall of creativity to repeat and paint the same way over and over again. Instead, allow your interests to drive your creativity. Let it be the starting point, venture out and discover it from various angles and ways of expressing it. But also be mindful that as we grow our interests can change and as they change, we must remain honest and respond accordingly such that our artistic language can also grow.) Have questions? Don’t hesitate to message me! I can tailor a class to your needs :)

Pulling the Original Character from your Headspace
I am an aspiring comic book designer who has spent my entire life practice and learning. As I've grown, there are three core artistic languages that have shaped how I create: - Shape Language (body shape, clothing shape, shape contrast) - Color Language (relearning color, color combination, textures in colors) - Expression (clothing choices, facial movements, positioning) I have created a 5-week workshop for each of these core artistic values. You may find that you especially want to focus on one artistic value, or are starting with a blank page and want all three. My Services: 1-off character consultation: We will discuss your pre-existing character and I will provide constructive criticism about it. We work together to brainstorm ideas and optionally, speak beyond it's visual design and into the setting they live in. Intended to be a one off or occasional feedback. ($40) 5-week workshop: Select one of the three workshops listed above. I recommend doing them in the order provided. ($200 for 5) 10-week workshop: Select two of the three workshops listed above at a decreased rate. ($350 for 10)
