I regularly give piano lessons from beginner to intermediate level. My aim is to make you enjoy learning the piano. I'll tailor my lessons to your level and your desires. Here are some suggested activities based on the repertoire(s) of your choice: interpretation, improvisation, beginner deciphering, harmonization, composition. I come to your home for the lesson on your piano or keyboard.

She has been a certified teacher at Montreal Academy since 2009. As a vibrant presence in Montreal’s music scene, Nadine performs regularly with her solo project as well as with various local and international artists. Her musical journey began at the age of five, inspired by her grandmother's Arabic piano classics. She transitioned to guitar during high school, where she played in rock bands, and continued her studies in jazz and classical guitar at CEGEP and university. Over the past six years, she has delved into the oud, integrating it into her original compositions. With 26 years of teaching experience, Nadine offers instruction in a diverse range of styles, including Pop, Funk, Blues, Rock, R&B, Jazz, and Classical. Whether you aim to learn an instrument, write songs, prepare for an audition, or explore creativity across various musical genres, Nadine provides the tools and guidance needed to achieve your goals. Her lessons cover sight-reading, songwriting, ear training, improvisation, fingerpicking techniques, and more, all tailored to each student’s musical interests.

I am a Suzuki trained teacher through world renown Mimi Zweig, Joshua Bell and Hilary Hahn’s own teacher! I studied with Grigory Kalinovsky and Mauricio Fuks at the Jacobs School of Music as well as Violaine Melancon at McGill University. I have been playing the violin for 20 years and teaching since I was 16, and I have great passion for music education for all ages. I will customise your lessons to what you need, from classical to folk to fiddling!

My typical course would go like this: First meeting: Familiarization with the instrument, the basics, what is a chord, tuning the guitar, etc. Then: At each lesson a little theory, always applied, and obviously practice, learn pieces and / or repeat those already learned, to measure the progress of the student. At the end of the course I would give technical advice, things to practice or listen to if the student wants to go further. I don't intend to make myself indispensable, on the contrary I want to give the basics so that you can manage and have fun as quickly as possible. One meeting per week is the best to have rapid progress, but I also adapt to the needs and capacities of the student, the main thing is that the guitar is always a pleasure, and never a chore! Guitarist with 9 years of experience, having already played in several groups and associations, often specialized in rhythm, but also sometimes soloist. I still participate in jam sessions from time to time. I myself learned with a particular teacher for the basics before continuing as an autodidact, but the best training remains to play in a real group. I can initiate you or consolidate your bases and make you practice by making you play with me. I always take my students' tastes into account because I think you have to like what you do to want to progress, so I don't force them to work on a style or songs that they don't like. I will teach you: - to read tablatures, - the basics of music theory such as scales, - the notion of rhythm and how to hold it, - different rhythmic and solo techniques, as well as playing with fingers or with a plectrum (= a pick) I have an electric guitar and an electro-acoustic one, whatever your style, I can teach you to play on electric or on acoustic. I also have a little knowledge on the material side of guitars and accessories, how to choose the right material is also important!

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. My lessons are distinguished by their dynamics, practical approach and adaptation to the needs and interests of the student. The lessons (live or online) take place in my studio next to the Maastunnel, where I have a premium stage piano and a top-quality webcam setup. I speak Dutch at an intermediate level, which is improving every day.

The older I get, the more I love. Especially during these times of immense ugliness and hate, wars and conflict, music- that's always been all about love - is the home I keep returning to. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard. My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instill a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student. Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you. A bit about me: Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'.
