I specialize in coaching adult learners in spoken and written English.

I hold a level 3 Adult Teaching Certificate and as a graduate of the full-time acting course at LAMDA, the use of English and the ability to communicate and understand has always been at the heart of my professional career as an actor for 25 years but also my business career for over 20 years.

I have always been passionate about the need of most individuals to optimize their
employability by their use of language in written and spoken communications. Once they have acquired.fluency of these key areas, they will develop the self-confidence that will get them past their first interview for a job and behavioural flexibility to secure and retain the job if they want it.

For many years, I have taught Voice to professional adults including politicians, marketing and sales executives and designers. This was derived from what I learned at LAMDA where I was taught by some of the best voice teachers in the world.

My class was designed to learn how to be more effective in spoken and written communication in English. How to engage, how to listen, how to understand, how to be dynamic etc... Each class is one hour. Many have told me that what they learned from this class has helped them to develop and grow their self-confidence
especially when applying for jobs.

I have enormous experience in communicating with people at all levels and from different
backgrounds. I strongly believe that communication is the key to employability.

I also have considerable experience of organizing and formatting processes which are
aligned to assessing and training requirements. For over twenty-five years, I have
assessed Parliamentary Candidates for a major political party and for the past twelve
years, I have been organizing and Facilitating them both face-to-face and since the
pandemic online as VADs or Virtual Assessment Days.

The biggest barrier facing any adult learner who is also in employment is trying to balance the conflicting demands of employment with the competing demands of a formal course which has its own timetable. Whether the employment is full-time or part-time, there are always just so many hours in the day. So rest assured, I can be completely flexible to suit your timetable.

I have done tutoring with young children with disabilities in French and in English in different subjects (history, mathematics, french grammar, english grammar, etc). French is a hard language to learn even for us french. My class is meant to teach French without getting bored. I’m confident that anyone can learn French independently of age, everything is about method. For infants and preschool children French can be introduced through games, enriching their vocabulary. For children and teenagers I like to do classes mixing both games and more conventional teaching (grammar). This way they learn and practice french while never getting bored. To the uninitiated, a grammar book seems to be written in another language because the meaning of the words is incomprehensible. In a down-to-earth way, I'll translate the grammar into familiar words. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning while having a positive mindset.

You can book a complete course with regular sessions or individual lessons to overcome a specific problem, such as pronunciation or a particular point in grammar.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.

When it comes to the alphabet, words and sentences, it's more or less the same, but school pedagogy, school textbooks and regular lessons still follow the rote learning approach. In the lessons I propose, you will learn to use patterns because this is more efficient and faster.

Learning is easy, but unlearning bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible.

My offer is aimed at both teenagers and adults who want to acquire a solid foundation of the Latin language without the time-consuming diversions of absurd school methods.

I offer individual or group lessons for Latin. The methods are based on cognitive science and, in particular, comparative linguistics. My flexible programme can be tailored to your individual needs.

Setswana is a rich, rhythmic language spoken in Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Belonging to the Bantu family, it closely resembles other languages in the region.
I have found learning Setswana through several terrific teachers, thorough textbooks and daily life enriching.

Growing up in Botswana, speaking this beautiful and intricate language, or at least making an effort to do so, can transform the way you live in Botswana.
I have taught semester-long regular beginners Setswana lessons to children aged 7-12 and adults, with strong emphasis on understanding grammar by breaking it down into “formulas” for how to form tenses and sentences. I teach these and vocabulary through a mix of traditional explanatory lectures, practice exercises and creative games, accompanied by study techniques I have found very useful for learning foreign languages. I have also worked as a trained English tutor, and study linguistics at university, both of which have shaped me to better understand and teach language.

Each class will consist of grammar formulas (eg: basic conjugation in the present tense: linking pronoun [for the human noun class group, for example: ke=I, o=you, o=him/her, re=we, le=you plural, ba=they] + “tla” [as in “will”] + verb), some vocabulary words, spoken or written exercises or games to go through together and longer practice exercises to build independent confidence.

Hello everyone! My name is Francesca and for some years I have been living and working in Spain, in Barcelona.
I'm Italian. I studied Spanish starting from level A1 up to level C2, certified by the most prestigious organisation in the study and teaching of the Spanish language, the Instituto Cervantes.

I have been teaching Spanish classes online since 2018.

My lessons can be in Spanish only, from day one, if the student wants. I can use other languages to clear up particularly complicated doubts. My students value this aspect positively because they can improve quickly. Since I have studied Spanish from scratch to mastering the highest level of the language, I do not only understand the doubts my students might have, but I have experienced similar situations to theirs.
