I specialise in providing high level tutoring for both GCSE English language, English literature or Triple Science. I have complete up to date knowledge of the AQA exam board and I aim to make the students receive level 8’s and 9’s within these subjects. I assign homework after each lesson and provide reports of students progress per session.
Informations supplémentaires
The subject being tutored can change per lesson depending on the students. E.g. Lesson 1: English literature tutoring.
Lesson 2: Triple science tutoring.
Lesson 3: English language tutoring.

Présentation
I help the students understand each topic and give tips and tricks on how to get the highest marks on each subject. The classes are pre-planned and extra materials the student requires are brought by myself. Students should inform prior to each session what subject and topic they want to focus on in order to be efficient and give as much help as possible per lesson.
Education
Received all 7-9’s for my GCSEs and A*AA predictions for A level chemistry, biology and economics. I received all 9s in English and Triple science GCSE’s and have full knowledge of AQA mark schemes and the specifications for these subjects.
Expérience / Qualifications
I have previous tutoring experience for a few years teaching GCSE subjects which include English, Maths and Science from ages 7-11

A good teacher is above all a good pedagogue.

I teach maths, physics, chemistry and science.
My students come from all walks of life, from disadvantaged backgrounds and from the best schools in France and the UK.
My approach is pragmatic and based on a real close relationship, which is essential to train and motivate the student.
My experience and my mastery of the subjects taught allow me to establish quantitative objectives to which I commit myself contractually.

The priority is of course to ensure that the student achieves better results, but also to help him/her define his/her future project and to reinforce his/her confidence, which is essential to any success.
In this perspective, I establish a relationship of complicity and exchange in order to transform him into an actor of his future and to prepare him for the challenges of the professional world.

Methodology :

After an initial diagnosis during the intake, I establish quantified objectives to which I commit.
The courses are tailored to the expectations and needs of the student and parents.
I try to make the lessons "lively", orderly and efficient.
Between each lesson, exercises are given and then corrected in order to follow the evolution of progress.
Finally, I will anticipate the lessons of the school program, so that when the teacher starts a new chapter in class, the student already has a first apprehension of the course before the other students, allowing him to have more understanding and ease.

In the year 2021, 100% of my final year students passed their bac (A Levels), 60% of them with honours or very good. Many have gone on to enter top business and engineering schools.

Courses are available for all levels from secondary school to high school.

As far as my background is concerned, I first studied medicine and then went on to study engineering in the field of civil engineering.
After graduating with a Master's degree, I went on to teach in a private secondary school in France, where I am perfectly familiar with the new secondary school programmes.

I am contractually committed to results.
To your future success.

Setswana is a rich, rhythmic language spoken in Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Belonging to the Bantu family, it closely resembles other languages in the region.
I have found learning Setswana through several terrific teachers, thorough textbooks and daily life enriching.

Growing up in Botswana, speaking this beautiful and intricate language, or at least making an effort to do so, can transform the way you live in Botswana.
I have taught semester-long regular beginners Setswana lessons to children aged 7-12 and adults, with strong emphasis on understanding grammar by breaking it down into “formulas” for how to form tenses and sentences. I teach these and vocabulary through a mix of traditional explanatory lectures, practice exercises and creative games, accompanied by study techniques I have found very useful for learning foreign languages. I have also worked as a trained English tutor, and study linguistics at university, both of which have shaped me to better understand and teach language.

Each class will consist of grammar formulas (eg: basic conjugation in the present tense: linking pronoun [for the human noun class group, for example: ke=I, o=you, o=him/her, re=we, le=you plural, ba=they] + “tla” [as in “will”] + verb), some vocabulary words, spoken or written exercises or games to go through together and longer practice exercises to build independent confidence.

My teaching materials I use I developed whilst living in Botswana, and have already been used with my aforementioned classes. I hope they can help you too !
