Advanced Tutoring in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics

Having conducted international-level experimental and theoretical scientific research for many years (PhD University of Cambridge, National Physical Laboratory, Max-Planck Institute, KUL, and UCL) I offer tailored and adaptive tutoring in mathematics, chemistry, and physics.

My main focus is in helping those pupils in their final two years of school who are preparing for university. I also specialize in preparing students for the Belgian medical entrance exam by actually solving the problems of all the past entrance exams and providing tips and insight for rapidly homing in on the correct answers.

My philosophy is that science and mathematics can be related to each person's everyday experience. I try to provide insight and solid foundations so that students will not have to rely heavily on blindly memorizing large sections of their courses.

    About Me

I'm passionately curious about the world and how it works; I can find interest in just about any subject. My current academic pursuits are in the areas of the philosophy of ideas, zeroth-order logic, molecular genetics, and computer programming; including artificial intelligence.
Besides academic interests, I enjoy sports of all kinds. I currently play ice hockey in the Belgian national league. I'm also a keen photographer. I only use film and I develop and print my images purely by the 'traditional' method of using a cocktail of chemicals in a darkroom.

Math&Physics for School and University Students: IB SL/HL, EB,IGCSE, GCSE, ICSE, CBSE, SPM, AP, A-levels, Cambridge
I'm a Math&Physics tutor for school students of all ages, Mostly help graduate students in SAT, IB, A levels Math&physics. My classes consist of only one student because every student needs a different approach. I believe that the best way to teach someone sth is to understand how his/her mind works and after that find the most effective and convenient method for the individual. Teaching is one of my hobbies and I do this to help students by sharing my knowledge and skills, so if you think you are motivated enough to do your best then I will be more than happy to teach you! And if you aren't motivated enough, then I will do all I can to help you find that motivation that you need for success. Currently, I'm doing online classes with a virtual board, which makes classes the most efficient. If you have any questions feel free to text me, will reply to you as soon as possible ;))

    Hanne
Graduated bio-engineer with tutoring experience teaching mathematics and chemistry at primary and secondary level in the Leuven region
I am specialised in teaching mathematics and chemistry at primary and secondary school level. Together we will find out exactly what you need help with and what would be the best teaching method for you. After the introductory conversation, I make an estimate of the best approach. This approach is gradually adapted until we have found the ideal teaching method for you. My aim is to challenge the student, but not to overwhelm. After each lesson, I give homework to follow up on the student's progress.

Private lessons in maths and physics. Secondary and university level.
University professor for 18 years and doctor of applied sciences, I also give private lessons to high school students and high school students. I adapt to the demand and level of each student. I can follow the school / university program or push beyond. I favor a classical education: 1) understanding of the subject and its importance in the field of study or in everyday life 2) illustration by examples 3) exercises to assimilate and finally master the subject I attach great importance to understanding and logical reasoning. I progress with the student by also working outside contact hours if he wishes.

    François
Tutoring Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics and French region of Leuven (secondary)
I am a TEW student at the KULeuven and would like to offer my services to secondary school students who could use some help outside school hours. Together with my students, I look for the right study approach to fully understand the courses and I myself try to present the subject matter in a different way so that my students gain more insight into the subject matter to be known. I myself graduated from the Sint-Albertus College in Haasrode with a diploma in science mathematics (6 hours) and I was brought up perfectly bilingual (Dutch-French).

    Peter
WISK / BIO / CHEMISTRY / PHYSICS | University student who teaches science subjects to secondary students of all levels.
It is important that I know how the lesson is taught by the teacher. That is why I always prepare my lessons on the basis of the teacher's workbook. Then I teach from the very beginning. I am convinced that you can never build on things without a good foundation. Does this base not work? Then we'll just start over until we get the hang of it! For a further build-up in difficulty I fully adapt to the pace of the student, this is important to be able to remember everything in the long term, such as for a test within a few days. After class I am also available 24/7 to forward small questions or extra exercises that we can discuss in a next lesson. So no worries, you can always contact me. :)

Mathematics lessons for primary or secondary students
Being a graduate of Solvay and having had 8 hours of math lessons per week during my secondary school. I offer a math class. For me the important thing is that the student feels comfortable, you have to start over with the basics and when these are acquired correctly for the future, you can move on to more complex exercises. I work a lot with mind mapping and colors, to promote long-term visual memory.

    Ibrahim
Mathematics guidance primary school for tests or tasks
Mathematics can be a fairly difficult subject. especially if you are still in primary and have to learn the basics that will become very important later. My goal is to help you get better marks for this subject. I will do this by guiding you with tasks or topics that you do not understand. I want to turn you into a real math genius by the end of the school year. About myself: I'm Ibrahim, I'm 17 years old and I'm a 6Economics-Language student. My native language is Dutch. After that I also learned English, French and Arabic. I am very good with children and have experience with them. I spent a total of 9 weeks on various playgrounds in Brussels and Leuven.

Math, physics, and test prep in English and Spanish
I specialize in finding and teaching the students the basic concepts that are not well understood. In my experience, I realize that once we find and solve those deficits, the student learning rate increases greatly. My method is to use tailored exercises for the particular situation of the students, challenging them in a positive and realistic way. I have good knowledge about international baccalaureate programs as well as universities entry level exams.

Biology, chemistry, physics, statistics, english, dutch, anatomy.
Hi everyone, I am a Belgian student, currently, I'm in my first master's year at the KULeuven. I chose a master's in 'Rehabilitation sciences and physiotherapy specialization musculoskeletal disorders'. During my bachelor years, I developed a very good basic knowledge of science subjects and mathematics: I studied statistics for 3 years, molecular cell biology, chemistry, physics, biomechanics, biochemistry and anatomy. The quality of teaching of both the University of Leuven as the high school I went to (Heilig Hartcollege Tervuren) is something I am very happy/thankful for. I would love to share the education and the knowledge I acquired by supporting and teaching you or your child/teen. I would consider it as a sort of study pathway counseling. As I already have a bachelor's degree in one of the highest-ranked universities in Europe, I have a broad knowledge of quite some subjects. I have a lot of experience working with children and teenagers, I have been a leader in a Scout for children aged 12 to 18. I have also been a tutor for 5 years now. I love working with other people as I am a very social, empathic, and motivated person. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have more questions about the topics and fields of study that I can cover, or if you have a special inquiry I currently live in Belgium. Lessons can be taught in English or Dutch. I hope to meet you soon and start working on enhancing those performances! Kind regards, Natalia

(Private) Mathematics tutoring for secondary school students
    - As for the lessons. The lessons are about mathematics of secondary education. More specifically, I will assist in the theoretical processing of mathematics as its application (the exercises). In addition, I will provide additional study material (aids, schedules, ...) if necessary. - Way of handling. I would like to have an overview in advance of the study material, the tests or tasks in which certain problems are visible, .... This way I can prepare the lessons in advance and focus on the problem. In addition, I can estimate / determine his / her level in this way. I try, in a simple way and for the student in an understandable way, to explain the course in a different way so that this is clear to the student. Afterwards I like to enjoy the results. - Why am I doing this? Math is a passion of mine and for me there is nothing more fun than sharing my passion. Unfortunately, my love for mathematics is not part of my studies and that is why I like to do this as a hobby and as an extra income. Of course I work professionally. - Experiences? I love nothing more than tutoring my fellow students about the subject matter. This is appreciated by them. Of course I also have experience in tutoring mathematics of both primary and secondary education. - Who am I? My name is Arina and I am a legal practice student. I am 22 years old and I live in a student flat in Leuven. In high school itself, I had a traumatic experience in first and second high school for mathematics. I thought it was a very interesting and cool subject, but I just couldn't understand it. During these years I had the same teacher, who did not teach me the subject matter in a, for me, the right way. After (compulsory by my parents) tutoring, my interest in mathematics increased to such an extent that I started studying economics mathematics in the following years. My love for math just won't go away...

Physics lessons in Brussels - Graduate engineer - Numerous experiences in private lessons
Currently studying in Master 2 (automation engineer orientation), I have enjoyed teaching scientific subjects to the less experienced for 4 years now. I have always had excellent contact with young people (scouting, ADEPS certified holiday center instructor, NGO) and private lessons are now my main activity behind my studies. Having already ensured a total of about thirty young people, some in private lessons and others in classes (of 4-5 young people), I have acquired substantial experience in the field of private education, and this for all high school levels. With this extensive experience in my background, I have already explained at least once each subject of the secondary program in any year. Over the years, I have been able to learn, experiment and find the most effective ways to convey each of these subjects. Physics is a subject that I particularly enjoy teaching because it serves me every day for studies and I therefore have no shortage of resources in terms of exercises that I can draw from real life situations every day. Finally, my engineering studies allow me to take a more practical approach to the subject, which is greatly appreciated by secondary school students, who all too often find themselves not knowing what the purpose of the maths and sciences they are taught are. .
