Most lessons will start with a discussion before jumping into practice questions and worked examples in a calmer environment than the classroom.

We will discuss what area(s) of Mathematics the student is struggling with, I will then present diagnostic questions to identify the root cause of the confusion before working from basics to make sure the student understands what the gap in their knowledge is and how to best reinforce the gap in their learning.

For more confident students one of the best ways to prepare them for exams is working through exam-style questions and reviewing common areas where marks are lost along with best practices to minimise wasted time during the tests.

I studied Mathematics & Further Mathematics at both GCSE & A-Level, now I am revising the latest iGCSE content so that I can begin training as a High School Maths teacher next school year.

As a tutor, my goal is to help students find maths less intimidating by identifying the root causes for their struggles and then reinforcing fundamental skills in a more comfortable environment than a classroom.

At college I tutored mathematics along with volunteering as a teaching assistant in younger and struggling classes. After college I went on to coach Esports for thousands of hours to a variety of people across Europe which has given me experience with a wide range of learning styles.

Why Maths? - In my experience maths is often disregarded by students as a subject that “isn’t for them” or “isn’t useful in the real world” but this is a misconception that must be addressed to avoid children becoming permanently disinterested with a core life skill.

I am in my third year of mathematics at EPFL. I am available almost all week.
I am fluent in Dutch, French and English.
I already have experience with private lessons that I gave for two years in Maths, Physics, Latin, English and French to high school students.
