Guitar teacher for many years, I am passionate about jazz, blues, folk and fingerpicking. My courses cover the basics of these different styles in a relaxed manner. Linking chords together smoothly, exploring different rhythms, correctly placing a melody, trying improvisation (jazz, blues, rock), developing finger playing techniques (classical or folk), are all elements at the heart of the learning. These are deepened by notions of music theory and/or music theory. Teacher trained in the "Arc-en-Sons" method, I also teach children from 4 years old Classes are for Beginner and Intermediate levels. Individual lessons (20, 30, 45 or 60 minutes). Hi, I'm Nikos, a guitar teacher with over 12 years of experience and a Master's degree in classical guitar performance from the Conservatory of Brussels. I teach all styles, according to the student's preference, and at all levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). My teaching method varies depending on the style and your desires. I see learning the instrument along three lines: accompaniment, musical understanding and improvisation. I try to give the student a solid foundation so that he can become independent as quickly as possible and can learn pieces by himself or accompany himself. Many "theoretical" courses are available in videos and offered after the course (different scales, chords etc...).

Graduated from the Lyon Conservatory in cello, musical training and with a double Master's degree in cello and double bass from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels I give lessons for all levels, all ages. You like Bach suites for solo cello, the music of Telemann, Chopin, tangos, etc. It is possible to learn music at any age and I would be happy to support you on your journey. You do not have an instrument, I will lend you one during the first lesson and can guide you in your search for an instrument afterwards. My name is Flora, I am 24 years old, I am a specialized Master's student at the Royal Conservatory of Mons in Han Bin YOON's class, and I am doing a didactic master's degree in parallel. I obtained my master's degree at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in the class of Marie Hallynck and Francis Mourey. I began my musical apprenticeship in France where I studied in music school then in Paris, with David Louwerse, Philippe Bary and Raphaële Sémezis. All the passionate teachers I had made me want to give lessons too, because I love human contact and sharing my passion. I also really like chamber music! I wish in my lessons to make the student want to play, that he takes pleasure in discovering the sensations on the instrument and the beautiful repertoire while developing technique and accuracy. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard. My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instill a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student. Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you. A bit about me: Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'. The video shown below is from my stint playing and directing 'After Midnight', a show set to the music of the Duke Ellington Big Band.

And if the students wish, I can help them to prepare for the ABRSM exams and competitions as well. All this is aiming to achieve in a very practical and exciting experience the best results in the fastest way possible. But if the profile and the interests of the students goes on another way, I will give them all the tools they need to understand the language of music in depth, so they can find their own voice on the instrument. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician.
