Hi! I’m Yaroslav, an acoustic & electric bass player, composer, and music teacher based in Brussels.

With 15+ years of professional experience, I work as a session musician in various styles and lead jazz and improvisational projects.

My teaching approach is flexible and student-focused: whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced player, I adapt lessons to your goals, level, and musical interests.

I teach all levels, from complete beginners to advanced players, focusing on technique, groove, improvisation, and clear, practical music theory.

I hold a Master’s degree from the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel (KCB) and combine an academic approach with real-world musical experience.

- You are very welcomed to acquire skills on Classical Piano playing as well as basic Jazz and modern music

Who I am?

I had a great interest in music since my childhood and I knew that its the only way for me. I am a classical pianist with 17 years of experience. I am graduate of Prague Conservatory and Conservatory Jsroslav Jezek, from where I obtained the college degree. I am as well alumni of Conservatori Liceu (Barcelona, Spain). After two years of BA music degree at Consrvatori Liceu, I switched to Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, where I am pursuing my university degree currently.

During my tenure I have participated in many competitions, such as The Wiener Klassik International Competition in Vienna, Sergei Prokofiev's International Piano Competition in Prague, International Piano Competition in Cøpenhagen, Györ and many more.
Also, I am active as a concertmaster. Some of the highlights are, concerts in Belgium(Brussels, Namur), Prague, Cøpenhagen, Vienna, Györ, Barcelona, Badalona and Nürnberg. Furthermore I am an active chamber musician.

I am giving private lessons since 2013.

Lessons in piano, harpsichord, and historical and modern cello, with program and repertoire, adapted to the goals and speed of each student, whether young, not so young, or adult, for a general introduction to these instruments, for preparation for high music education, as a supplementary aid for exams in music academies, or for a hobby, or for amateur group music-making, or for developing qualities as concentration, coordination, discipline, expressibility, awareness of styles and music history.
In my teaching, I rely mostly on old traditional methods, books, and repertoire, which have proved their efficiency over the time. I also make use of the teaching tradition of partimenti of the old Neapolitan conservatories - exercises for composing that can be applied from early stage. This not only adds a creative element soon after very beginning, but also teaches via practice the basics of harmony and polyphony.
Lessons can be combined (+30min.) with theory/solfege (ear training), if the student wishes.

Individual piano lessons taught by a graduated pianist Kristina with over then 10 years of experience in successfully teaching beginners and 'muziekliefhebbers' of all age groups and preparing students for entrance exams (Hochschule fur Musik Koln), piano competitions (Steinway piano competition), now in Brussels in Quartier Royale! The lessons are being held on a Kawai CX-5H and are available in French, German, Dutch, English, Italian, Spanish, and Croatian.

My name is Joris, I'm a saxophonist and conductor.
As a saxophonist I obtained a Master degree with great distinction from the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, won the second prize at the national Lion's European Music Competition and already played as a soloist with orchestras like the Royal Symphonic Band of the Belgian Guides.
I'm currently following a Master degree in Music Theory and Conducting at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.
I started conducting when I was 18 and highlights of my career thus far include a selection as one of only 24 candidates for the conducting contest at the World Music Contest Kerkrade last summer. Furthermore I have had the opportunity to work with professional orchestra's like MAV Symphony in Budapest, the North Czech Philharmonic, the President's Own United States Marine Band, the Belgrade Chamber Orchestra amongst others.

I'm a very logical person, I always analyze everything I do, which makes it very easy for me to teach and explain something I learned to others. - a hobbyist course: it won’t be time consuming. I will help you learn new pieces and a little theory and solfege. The primary goal of this course is to make you enjoy playing in your spare time without having to practice too much.

- a professional course: in this course I will help you reach the level of a professional musician. I will give you an insight of how to prepare a piece or pieces for a competition or an audition. I will also teach a lot of theory and solfege so that you can prepare for a conservatory or a school of music.
