I am a undergraduate at Exeter University studying Maths. I specialise in pure maths and statistics. I aim to go over any work the student has and practice tests as well as any general issues a student may have. I'd love to help involve more young people in maths, and show them what a university career in maths would look like.

This class is aimed at older students, but I am more than able to accommodate to younger students as well.

As a younger person I'm still able to empathise with a students problems and I have experience working with school children helping out with maths.

Over the years of teaching, I have refined my ability to teach, and have a foolproof method of improving students problem-solving skills. I believe in a holistic approach to Maths, where I emphasize "how" and "why" the problem and solution works, this not only guarantees an improvement in the students mathematical ability (and subsequently their grades), but in their ability to swiftly grasp any future Maths concepts they learn.

I specialise in teaching English for school, including both SAT and GCSE. I am also Cambridge CELTA qualified to teach English as a second language to all levels focusing on speaking, listening, writing and reading. My goal is to focus on the students needs and weakness while encouraging their strengths. They will be challenged to perform to their best ability while also keeping it fun so it does not get too overwhelming. I assign homework after every lesson and provide periodic progress reports.

I will aim for your betterment in every topic, whether weak or strong. We would also aim to solve at least a couple of extension questions to test our knowledge and always recap what we did in our previous lessons. There would be homework, but I'll ensure it's not too much so it doesn't take up your time to complete schoolwork.

Maths helps us to better understand the world around us. Practicing mathematical skills helps to advance your ability to problem-solve and increase your analytical thinking. As it is so crucial for development, this subject is compulsory for students up to the age of 16, therefore it is beneficial that your child is consistently up-to-date on their curriculum.

During my sessions, I will assess their abilities in different topics. I will then focus on teaching them in their weaker areas to better prepare them for class assessments or SATs for Year 6s.
