Ik ben gespecialiseerd in het aanleren van wiskunde, statistiek en economie. Mijn doel is om de student op een interessante manier iets bij te leren. Ik geef huiswerk na elke les en geef periodieke vooruitgangsrapporten.

The class I want to teach has to be motivated to learn. I specialize in Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. These are usually subjects students fail at. I will try my best to help these students understand what they're being taught at school and also help them to get better grades if they are indeed failing these subjects at school.

Students may not always be able to follow along well in certain lessons because sometimes things go fast, and sometimes just need a little more time to understand certain things. Understanding the subject matter is very important. I therefore offer tailor-made extra lessons for every student! Every student is different and learns differently. Because of the teacher training that I have followed and the years of experience in giving tutoring, I know a lot of (online) tools with which students can store things efficiently and better in memory. The student will realize that learning in this way is also much more fun!

I am studying Mathematics at the University of Cambridge (graduated my bachelor's degree with highest distinction in June 2023, I will start my master's in October 2023) and systematically obtained >90% in mathematics and physics.

My math teacher wrote about me in her recommendation letter for the University of Cambridge: “And very important as well, he is a good communicator and apt to share his knowledge. Whenever we do teamwork, a quiz or a game in the classroom, everyone wants to be in the same group as Zephyr. ”

I have 4 younger brothers who regularly ask me for help when they are stuck with their school work. By helping them with this I learned how to explain subject matter. In 2019 I started paying tutoring. In the meantime I have already tutored dozens of students, for secondary school material, and preparation for entrance exams for universities.

It is important for me to discuss with you, parents and student at the end of the first lesson whether what you expect will be feasible. This way I can be sure that you will be satisfied with the lessons.

My goal is to update the student as quickly as possible in any area where there is a backlog, so that the student is not even more behind.

As a young graduate from Aerospace Engineering at Delft University of Technology I am affiliate with all engineering sciences and mathematics. For Mathematics, I am able to support students up to the 4th year of the secondary school.

Online tutoring is possible, but I prefer more traditional methods: I sit next to the student and we work with pen and paper, with or without the parent nearby (some young people feel calmer if the parent stays nearby, others find it which is embarrassing; I'm also a stranger to the parent, so I understand if you want to stay close). I prefer as little screen time as possible, I can show examples on the computer, for example we can make graphs and calculations in wolfram alpha or I can provide geometric animations in geogebra.
