Sinds 2004 geef ik al Swahililessen. Zowel aan beginners, als aan gemiddelde sprekers.
Hoewel privelessen altijd aangepast worden aan jouw eigen leerwensen, probeer ik in de lessen zowel grammatica, als gespreksvaardigheden te combineren. Daarnaast komt ook de cultuur ter spraken, omdat deze wat mij betreft onlosmakelijk met de taal verbonden is.

Hujambo,

in 2000 kwam ik voor het eerst in aanraking met het Swahili tijdens mijn stage in Tanzania. 5 jaar later besloot ik om mijn kennis van het Swahili over te brengen aan anderen.
Maar Oost-Afrika, en met name Tanzania, is mijn tweede huis. Tot 2019 zat ik als Touroperator en reisleider grote delen van het jaar in Tanzania.

Ik houd ervan om kennis over te brengen en mensen te zien groeien. Dus lesgeven is mijn werk en hobby geworden: 3 dagen per week als docent toerisme op het HBO en daarnaast minstens 3 avonden in de week Swahili.

Tijdens de lessen neem ik niet alleen de tijd om het over grammatica te hebben, maar ook de cultuur komt ter spraken. Hun wereldbeeld zie je zo mooi terug in hun taal.

Swahili vervolgcursus - A2 niveau (ideaal vervolg op de A1 cursus

Dit is het vervolg op de beginnerscursus en leidt op tot A2+ niveau.

De cursus begint met een korte herhaling van de stof uit de beginnerscursus en gaat daarna verder met de meer complexere grammatica.

Onderwerpen die hier onder andere ter sprake komen zijn: het weer, de kleine koppelwoordjes, safari, verhalende wijs, brieven schrijven en onderwerpen behorende bij het eigen reisdoel.

Gespreksvaardigheid en schrijfvaardigheid worden belangrijker in deze lessen. Zo wordt er verwacht dat je een kleine presentatie kan houden, en wordt je uitgedaagd om de mailtjes naar de docent veel mogelijk in het Swahili te doen.

Swahili Basiscursus - Leer op je eigen tempo vanaf het nulpunt tot A1-niveau

Swahili wordt gesproken in Kenia en Tanzania. Het is de meest gesproken Bantoe taal van Afrika.

In mijn A1 cursus neem ik je mee vanaf het nulpunt naar A1 niveau.
In het begin zal het nog wat onwennig zijn, met kleine zinnetjes, maar aan het einde van de cursus zul je in staat zijn om eenvoudige gesprekken te voeren, zoals het kopen van fruit of het boeken van een kamer.

Kennis en wetenswaardigheden wisselen zich af in deze cursus. We behandelen woordenschat en de grammatica van de taal. Ook zal de uitspraak aan de orde komen, en oefenen we kleine gesprekjes.

Onderwerpen die onder andere aan bod komen zijn:
- begroetingen en jezelf voorstellen;
- Diverse groepen zelfstandig naamwoorden;
- Tellen;
- Zinsopbouw;
- Tegenwoordige tijd, verleden tijd en toekomende tijd;
- Lijdend voorwerp en meewerkend voorwerp;
- De weg vragen; boodschappen doen op de markt.

Ce cours est destiné à tous ceux qui souhaitent apprendre le Swahili. Le Swahili est une langue très commune en Afrique et elle sera très utile pour ceux qui y voyagent, surtout dans la région des grands lacs. Ce cours touche surtout à la grammaire et la communication orale pour permettre aux élèves de s'exprimer correctement rapidement. La lecture/écriture est très proche de l'oral et s'apprend rapidement. L'objectif de mon cours est de donner aux élèves l'opportunité de vivre cette langue. J'essaie donc d'accompagner les élèves à se projeter dans la culture Swahili via la dialogue, la musique et la poésie. Selon le progrès et l'expérience de l'élève, un voyage en Afrique de l'Est est fortement recommandé pour compléter les connaissances acquises pendant ces cours. Cette immersion donnera à l'élève l'opportunité de vivre, ne serait-ce que pour un instant, la magie de la région d'où le Swahili vient.
